No one ever expected a chicken and a worm to become best buds, but here we are! Their symbiotic friendship allows each of them to achieve what other chickens and worms can only dream of.
Chicken likes to think he's in charge, with his little chicken legs running and jumping all about, but without Wiggle's amazing stretch and grab ability they'd never get out of the chicken coop.
When pesky foes cross their path, Chicken Wiggle combine their strengths to first stun the enemy with a quick whip from Wiggle followed by a ferocious peck from Chicken - spinning the enemy off-screen. It's a thing of beauty to witness!
Heroic Abilities! Chicken Wiggle have five super special and awesome power-up abilities they can utilize to perform unique and incredible feats.
PLAY: The stars of Chicken Wiggle are an improbable duo: a young chicken and his best buddy – a wiggly worm – nestled in his backpack! Together, they team up for adventure to jump, peck, and worm-grapple across a plethora of perplexing platforming levels – full of fun gadgets, tricky hazards, and sneaky foes – determined to rescue their friends from the wicked witch in her sky towers.
But wait, there's more...

I expect many of you have heard some of Grant Kirkhope's fantastic music in Mario + Rabbids (Nintendo), Yooka Laylee (Playtonic) or Banjo Kazooie (Rare).
We were lucky enough to find Mr. Kirkhope's phone number on a scrap of paper in the street one day, so we called him. Amazingly, he answered our call!
You've probably already heard the brand new tune that Grant wrote for Chicken Wiggle Workshop in the main Kickstarter video. We also added it above for easy access. If we are able to reach the "New Orchestral Soundtrack" stretch goal, Grant has agreed to compose some of the tracks for the new soundtrack, which we are extremely excited about!
If our initial Kickstarter funding goal is reached, backers can be assured that we will deliver a complete and satisfying game for Nintendo Switch with beautiful new HD artwork.
However, given the opportunity and funds required, we have a list of additional features that we would love to deliver to make Chicken Wiggle Workshop an even better game!
We have two physical rewards to offer for your support. A limited edition t-shirt - only available here - and a signed printed art book!
The limited edition t-shirt will be a unique design that only folks who choose this tier (or above) will receive. Wear it with pride, knowing only a select number of people on planet earth possess such a thing!
The Chicken Wiggle Workshop art book will contain tons of art, photos, and development information. The coffee table book to put all others to shame! Featuring all of the new HD art as well as the original pixel art, this art book will provide great insight on the art and design elements that made the game.

Retro roots. Modern mojo. Founded in 2015 by Jools Watsham, Atooi is focused on the development of retro inspired games that capture the essence of the past and unite it with the magic of tomorrow. Atooi properties: Mutant Mudds, Bomb Monkey, Xeodrifter, Totes the Goat, Mudd Masher, Soccer Slammers, Chicken Wiggle, and Treasurenauts.
Atooi is a very small team. We all wear many hats and each team member performs many different development tasks. Everyone is deeply passionate about making video games.
However, we must always be financially responsible to enable us to make the next game we're excited about - which is Chicken Wiggle Workshop!
We spent 16 months pouring our efforts into the development of Chicken Wiggle on 3DS. We are extremely proud of the end results, but due to market conditions, we fear that most of the games' audience had moved onto the Nintendo Switch by the time Chicken Wiggle launched on Nintendo 3DS.
Many Chicken Wiggle fans have told us, "We want Chicken Wiggle on Nintendo Switch!" And, we would love to make that happen for you!
Kickstarter helps us mitigate the financial risk by receiving help from you, the backer, which allows us to focus on the development of the game and not work in fear of never recouping development costs.
46% - Development is the largest portion of the budget, going towards the cost of the development team working on the project.
25% - Rewards cover the physical goods, such as the Limited Edition T-shirt and Printed Artbook, as well as the cost of purchasing each of the Nintendo Switch download codes from Nintendo that are sent out to backers.
20% - Taxes is an unfortunate reality that we must account for so the IRS doesn't knock down our door to our coop and take away our computers and desks!
9% - Fees include the 5% Kickstarter Fee and the 4% Payment Processing Fee.
Risks and challenges
Videogame development can be risky and challenging - most creative endeavors are. This is largely due to the complexity of managing time, resources, features, and cost. Our veteran team works hard and smart to avoid these pitfalls. We want our games to be great, and planning is the first step towards achieving that goal. We have been careful to ensure the initial goal and stretch goals provide the funds needed to accomplish what we promise.
The advantage of Chicken Wiggle Workshop is that it is a port of an existing game with new and enhanced features. We're not starting from scratch. The number of new, moving parts is reduced due to this. We already have experience on the Nintendo Switch with the release of Mutant Mudds Collection, Xeodrifter, and Totes the Goat already on Nintendo's new console, which helps lower the overall risk of the project.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
