It's just another day at the Annual Mad Scientist Convention when Dr. Emil Knutberger shows up. You threw him out last year when his experiments got a little too... strange. Now he's back seeking revenge for the indignity. The whole city is at risk!
It's up to you and the other Mad Scientists to use spare parts to build creatures that will battle Knutberger's horrible experiment. And when it's all over, you'd better make sure you break apart the other mad science creatures... just to be safe.
Mad Science The Card Game is a fun and exciting new game for kids of all ages. There are three unique phases of play that combine some classic gaming elements with a couple fresh mechanics.
In the first phase of the game, players follow a few simple rules to combine monster body parts and create a unique creature. In the second phase, these creatures roll a six-sided die in combat against a randomly selected "Horrible Experiment" that threatens the city. In the final phase, creatures now battle each other, ultimately taking each other apart.
The cards are funny and fun to look at. The rules are easy to follow. The Core Set is perfect for 2-3 players and the average game takes 20-30 minutes. It's a great Family Game Night alternative. It pairs well with a bottle of wine and your special friend. It's the perfect pastime when your having beers with buddies.
We are hoping to get this game out in front of a larger audience. We think it's a lot of fun, and our play testing has been very successful. Now we are looking to get as many Mad Science The Card Game decks as we can out into the game playing world. Any funds we raise, after delivering on pledges, will go toward marketing the game and soliciting reviews.
We are also planning two Expansion decks. The first will be included at certain pledge levels. It will add cards, allowing for more simultaneous players. The second is a future development that will add a new Monster Part to the Pile. The more interest we get, the easier it will be to add these to the mix.
We have invested a huge amount of time into this fun little game. Developing the concept, designing the cards and testing the game has dominated our lives for months now. Now we're hoping for a strong response from the Kickstarter population so we can take Mad Science The Card Game to the next level. We have a twofold goal in bringing our project to Kickstarter. First and foremost we want to get the game into as many hands as possible. Families, friends, retailers...enjoy! Second, we want to produce as many extra copies as possible to take the game to reviewers, trade shows, the press, etc. We're hoping to get some attention, do some marketing, and make Mad Science The Card Game a lasting pastime for generations to come.
