He’s Green, he’s wet, he ain’t your pet… He’s FROGMAN.
FROGMAN is a not-so-super superhero who kicks, punches and shags his way through his rubbish life, sort of fighting crime and sort of saving the day. It’s got action, romance, jokes, puns, nerd-references and scenes of hardcore sex and violence. What more could you want?
About the Authors
We make adverts for a living. You can check out some of our work here: http://www.lewisandfitch.com
It’s a fun job, but it can have its drawbacks. Frogman is a chance to create without adult supervision. We’ve always loved comics, so we decided to make our own, taking influences from our favourites and twisting them into a fun story that could go wherever we wanted it to. This is our first attempt at a comic book but the process has been so enjoyable and we love the medium so much that we plan to do more once Frogman is released.
Where will the money go?
Web comics are ok, but real, hold-it-in-your-hands comics are better. However, printing is expensive. The cost of printing a medium-sized run of Frogman is around a grand. We’re not asking for a penny more, but any funding we receive beyond our original goal will go towards printing more copies of Frogman, marketing the book, and funding Frogman 2, which we already have a story for and plan to start work on soon.
Risks and challenges Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
Frogman is already written and illustrated, so there really is very little risk involved. As soon as we hit our target we'll hit 'Go' and start printing.
We decided not to add shipping to the lower tiers to encourage pledging - we'd rather reach our target and take a hit on postage costs.
If you'd like to add a little to your pledge to cover costs we appreciate it, but you don't have to. We estimate shipping of a single comic to the US to be around £1 to £1.50.
