About this project
What is Wild Photo Adventures?
Wild Photo Adventures is the only wildlife and nature photography television show of its kind to ever be aired. It's not just a tv show, it's an educational resource for photographers as well as family appropriate entertainment for anyone who has a love for the natural world.
Each week we travel around the globe to great locations to photograph wildlife, its behavior and its environment. I'll show you where to go, how to find wild subjects and how to photograph them in new and creative ways. Wild Photo Adventures delivers exciting and educational entertainment for anyone who has a love for the great outdoors or photography.
Each week tag along with host Doug Gardner through adverse conditions and terrain in search of that one great photograph. Take a look behind the scenes at what it takes to be a professional nature photographer. Learn new tips and techniques that will bring life back into your photographs.
We Need Your Support
Over the past four seasons the growing series has been funded by a few generous underwriters and as we start the production of Season 5 we still have their support. However, due to skyrocketing production costs we are requesting additional support from you the viewer to meet our production budget. Please help us reach our goal of $42,000 with your generous pledge.
Please help us continue this great program with your generous pledge. Great rewards for your pledge are listed to the right of your screen. Remember you're not just supporting a show, but an educational resource for everyone to enjoy.
Even if you're unable to make a monetary contribution, you can still show your appreciation and support by sharing this link with your Facebook friends and through other forms of social media.

Our Track Record
Wild Photo Adventures is not some fly-by-night production. Our high PBS ratings over the past 4 seasons have proven that the series is a valuable resource for photographers, as well as entertainment for all outdoor enthusiasts. Upon the completion of Season 5 we will have produced and broadcasted over 60 episodes nationwide on Public Broadcasting Stations. Our track record is strong with over 171 million viewers in the US and millions more in 17 other countries.
What Others Are Saying
No one tells the story better than our fans!
Once again I have to thank you for another superb series on wildlife photography. I have learned so much from you and my skills have improved greatly since I found you years ago. You are the real deal in my book, you put me there beside you and I have used many of your methods to capture birds that have been used by Delaware National Wildlife Reserve brochures, newspapers, magazines, etc., even a triathlon contestant shirt in Annandale Minnesota!
Keep up your great work, you inspire me.
Just a quick note to tell you how very much I enjoy your show - learn from it and look forward to it! As a newbie photographer, there are just no other shows out there that walk us through a pro's mind as they set up each shot like your show does. I have had more "ah ha" moments watching you than in most of the photo workshops I've attended!
It is easy to see how much you and your crew put into every episode and while appreciation from others doesn't make up for the long hours in the field and away from home ... you undoubtedly love your work and that clearly shines through as well.
Keep on keeping on Doug, as I look forward to many more seasons with you Sir :)
Linda H. Gardiner
I really enjoy your show; I get to enjoy nature and art at the same time! :O)
Also, you're creating public awareness about our fragile, and threatened ecosystems.
Good work, thanks.
I just wanted to let you know how much that your PBS series has inspired me. I’m an amateur photographer who gave up photography in the 80’s and picked it up again after I retired a couple of years ago. I am very much enjoying living vicariously through your unique vision and lens.
Wishing you much success, and thanking you for what you do.
