ABOUT THE FILM
The footage above was shot by a professional crew of 44, consisting of American and Chinese, in Oct. 2010. The cast was a mixture of seasoned stars of theater and film together with real villagers and local students. Unfortunately, due to sudden financial difficulties, we were unable to finish this film.
We confronted this adversity as an opportunity to rewrite the script, adjust future shooting plans and to improve our distribution network. Today, we are confident of fulfilling promises not just to make a great film, but a great enterprise!
We are confident because we have a good story. This film is based on the true story of a struggling American writer, a modern Albert Schweitzer, who journeys to China to be a farmer-teacher. He travels to a remote area which, in the 1990s, was not open to foreigners. Facing arrest, he teaches three grade-levels of mischievous students and lives a life with little water and no toilets, bearing noisy local operas broadcasted over loudspeakers every day. During Martin's survival in this strange foreign village, he is transformed from a selfish loner to a selfless hero with love pouring from his heart.

We are confident because we have a devoted professional cast and crew. Some key personnel are veterans and from larger projects who chose to work on this film because they believed it would become a success in world cinema.

We are confident, because we have a unique distribution plan that will draw great attention worldwide. As the story takes place during Bill Clinton’s presidency, and the story refers to the former president, we will hold the film’s premiere at the Clinton Presidential Center in Little Rock, Arkansas. We will invite Mr. Clinton to attend the premiere. American and Chinese distributors, news crews, and David Deems (the American teacher whom the film is based on) will also be invited.

THE VALUE OF THIS FILM
This is the first film about an American in modern China that takes place in the deep countryside area normally inaccessible to westerners. It is related to two important countries and two different cultures at the time China is rising up. The whole world needs to understand the Chinese people, culture and political system. The universal theme of the film will attract not only American and Chinese audiences, but filmgoers all over the world.
THE MONUMENT TO THE FILM’S INVESTORS
This is a people’s film. To express our deep appreciation for the film’s investors, we will erect a stone monument engraved with donors’ names outside the school, which is the main shooting location in Nan Fu Mong Village, He Yang County, Shanxi Province, China. The shooting location is about 100 miles northeast of the Terracotta Warriors and Xian, the ancient capital city of China. It will be the first monument to investors in history, with thousands of donors’ names. It will be massive in size.
We promise we will donate all the profit of this film to:
1. William J. Bill Clinton Foundation
2. Red Cross Society of China to support poor farmer students in China's western countryside
3. Donors of $1,000 and above: Paid round-trip airfare for 1-2 people, up to $1,800, to Xi’an
