About

A little bit about 2020 Meals...

Hi! I’m Kamryn, Creator of 2020 Meals. 2020 Meals is a weekly meal planning subscription service, which focuses on recipes that are healthy and delicious. Our concept is simple; 20 weekly core ingredients along with cook times of 20 minutes or less. We designed this system so you can take back what’s most important to you while still enjoying a variety of different foods and flavors in your diet.

We know what it’s like feeling guilty about eating the wrong things. We’ve all felt the frustration when our money goes down the drain and countless times we’ve had to toss out unused or spoiled groceries. My team and I recognized these issues because we struggled with them in our day to day life. We empathize with what it’s like to be too tired to cook and give up on the gym and just order pizza and eat bon- bons all night. Every day we resolved to eat healthier and work out. Tomorrow was the day we were gonna turn it all around. Well, tomorrow came and we needed a no-nonsense way to face it!

2020 Meals brings excitement and practicality to meal planning. We didn’t like spending all of our valuable time on tedious shopping trips and endless time in the kitchen! All work and no play...hell no! We want to obliterate that negative internal dialog that dominates so many of us and empower people to work out, eat clean, and take back your precious YOU time!

Alright, alright, we know what you’re thinking. There are myths about healthy food and other junky meal planning services. So, before you jump to any conclusions, let’s bust those myths.

#1 - “Healthy food doesn’t taste good.” - That’s a load of crap! It can be, if you cook it right!

#2 - “Healthy food is expensive.” - It doesn’t have to be! Not everything you buy has to be organic.

#3 - “I just don’t have enough time to cook.” - If you have enough time to get your nails done, you can cook a 20 minute meal! So, no more excuses.

#4 - “I couldn’t tell you the difference between a pot and a pan.” - Well, we can show you!

#5 - “I’ve tried other meal plans that required a vast amount of my time and dedication.” - It happens, so let us save you!

As a foodie, I’ve tried other meal planning services, and was disappointed by the results. I was spending more money at the store and more time in the kitchen. I found that for a busy professional like myself, that there was a need to create quick, easy, and inexpensive meal options. So we came up with a solution and took the challenge out of cooking! And that’s how 2020 Meals was born!

With your backing you will help us expand upon our current menus which will soon include heart healthy, diabetic friendly meals, as well as those with food allergies, along with introducing Paleo and Gluten Free options. We also plan on creating a cookbook to give back our supportive customers and create an educational video cooking series for the people that don’t know the difference between what a pot and pan are! Furthermore, we know our current website can use some updating which is another reason why your backing will help! We want the user experience to be flawless and enjoyable! Paleo Chocolate Bacon Brownies

 Ingredients

  • 2 cups of almond butter
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cup raw organic honey
  • 1 tbsp vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup cacao powder
  • 1/2 tsp sea salt
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/8 cup coconut milk
  • 8 slices bacon
  • 2 tbsp raw maple syrup

Instructions 

1. Place bacon slices on an aluminum foil lined baking sheet

2. Taking about 2 tbsp 100% raw maple syrup and a basting brush, brush the tops of all the bacon generously with maple syrup

3. PLACE IN A COLD OVEN, and then turn the oven on 400 Degrees F 

4. Come back in 20 minutes and you should have perfectly cooked bacon in maple syrup

5. Pull out of the oven, and place on paper towels to absorb the fat

6. Place the bacon in your food processor and finely chop to later add to the brownies Chocolate Bacon Bites

7. Preheat oven to 325 Degrees F

8. In a large bowl, using a hand mixer blend your almond butter to make it a smoother consistency

9. Next blend in your two eggs 

10. Now blend in the honey and the vanilla

11. Add the salt, baking soda, and then SLOWLY add in the cacao powder or else you will take a chocolate powder bath like I did the first time. 

12. Add the coconut milk and continue to mix well

13. Now fold in the bacon and mix well by hand to ensure an even distribution of it all

14. Divide your batter between your 24 cupcake cups and bake for 30-35 minutes or until it passes the toothpick test. Enjoy!
