The Philosophy Behind the story
This story is dedicated to those born with a fetish for BDSM, to let you know you’re not alone. This story is our way to show the world more about who we are and disprove many misconceptions about the people who have Fetishes. The Biggest misconception that there is, is that somehow there is something wrong with anyone who has a fetish. In this day and age of acceptance, of all types of people those who have fetishes are still looked down upon and treated like damaged goods.
Unlike other stories told about BDSM this is Created by two Creators who have been into the Fetish Scene and actually have Fetishes. While none of the stories are real they are based on personal experiences and based upon a combined 30 years of study, experience and exploration into Fetishes and BDSM. This makes the story feel very real and shows a true side of what it is to have a fetish something often not seen before in mainstream media.
We also want to express the fact that a running theme for Fetish babies will be for you the reader to draw your own conclusions. The story is written to never preach but rather examine the intense relationships born out of fetish/BDSM and the dangers and rewards within those relationships. As well if we do our job right the ongoing series will be a learning tool, a guide to the NYC fetish underground as well as an opportunity to show to the World both how intense having a fetish/BDSM relationship can be all the while showing how normal most people with Fetishes really are. We are your teachers, your lawyers, your postal workers, law enforcement, etc... and your friends.
Fetish babies follows a young woman's Journey into self discovery. Barbara is her name is this is a preview of her story :
Not everyone is introduced to kinky things, some people are born with a need that haunts their minds even from early in life. This urge is refereed to as a Fetish:
The Medical Definition of fetish: an object or bodily part whose real or fantasized presence is psychologically necessary for sexual gratification and that is an object of fixation to the extent that it may interfere with complete sexual expression.
Barbara was born in a small town and very early on she knew she had a fetish for Bondage. Being in a small town she knew she could never be accepted for who she was and had to hide her desires. She worked hard in school and got a ticket out of small town life via a full scholarship to a college in NYC. Living in NYC had become an obsession for Barbara not because it was NYC but because of the hidden Fetish Underground of NYC. NYC was a place where she could be accepted for who she was, fetishes and all. Barbara gets her wish and journeys to NYC but what is that saying? Be careful of what you wish for? If NYC can eat you alive just living and working there imagine what the Cities Underground Fetish Scene can do to a Very Excited and eager to explore young woman. Join her adventures and misadventures as she learns the difference between fantasy and reality and watch as she grows and learns who she is in the most exciting city in the World's Fetish Underground. Art by Satine Zillah Co-Created by Rob and Alyssa Andersin
The Creative Team
Alyssa Andersin was introduced into the Fetish world by Rob Andersin and was both shocked and saddened about the amount of abuse women go through in the scene. Having been introduced into fetish by Rob who always explained and took his time to teach Alyssa about all things fetish had left her unaware of the amount of dangers in the Fetish Scene and the often-avoidable mistakes newbies make. Alyssa wanted to change this and to show that abuse does not have to go hand and hand with Fetishes/BDSM. Alyssa firmly believes no one has to go through abuse, pay their dues or be taken advantage of, to learn about BDSM or be "Trained". This belief has lead her to want to be involved in Fetish babies. It is Alyssa who brings the humanity to the characters and makes the story both believable and an emotional roller coaster. Alyssa is also well known for her Cookies at Fetish Events over the last few years till she relocated to Florida but that is a whole different story and a different comic book
Rob Andersin was born with a fetish for Bondage amongst other things. He discovered this at a very early and awkward age in the late 80's early 90's. He was terrified by these kinky ideas in his head that puberty had brought on. Worse was at the time the only place he could get information about fetishes was at a public library via medical studies most of which called him a deviant and mentally disturbed for his thoughts. For years Rob hid his ideas and thoughts the best he could and was afraid to talk to anyone about something that was a big part of him. Luckily the 90's came and ushered in the internet and a commercial openness to BDSM. However, Rob never forgot how horrible and scary the experiences were for him and actually wrote a bondage manual on safety. The book more of a text book even bored Rob to read. He would write many pieces on random sites based on BDSM safety and even helped people though abuse and how to better understand how to play Safe. One day and while talking to his Wife and Co-Creator Alyssa about creating comics she challenged him to make a Comic about bondage using what he knew. He said he would need her help to do it right and their partnership in creation was born.
Rob is also the Creator of The WrittenSins.com and the Network behind it. WrittenSins.com is the home for indie comic book creators. While this will be his first for profit project Rob has released the following titles for free over the past 5 years: Gothic Blue All Lit up, Dark Justice BURNS, NYR FETISH babies Center fold preview and has more than a few project coming out in 2017.
Satine Zillah joined the Fetish babies Creative team in 2016 and has brought to life what where once was only words with great artistic mastery. Her art brings an unexpected beauty to a story like this and makes Barbara's story seem like a fairy tail for a good reason *spoliers* . While Satine herself is not into any fetishes, that did not stop her from treating the material with respect and passion it deserves. Satine Zillah is based out of Prague and this project was done complete through emails and social media making this collaboration a truly 21 century project. Criss Madd is a self-taught artist. His first painting was at the ripe old age of two, when he painted his parents kitchen with black enamel in the time it took them to change his sister’s diaper. Gaining his first bit of notoriety in high school, this C- art student produced A+ art homework to his classmates. After high school, he dedicated his time trying to live the rock n roll dream. However, he always kept a pencil and paintbrush close at hand. Having always been a fan and collector of comics, it wasn’t until 3 years ago that he decided it was finally time to take a chance and become a full time illustrator. He has found his calling, honing his craft with pencils, and finding his way with inks and colors.
