A lost shadow seeks to be reunited with her human girl, while searching for memories and avoiding the dangerous city lights.
A dark force in town is tearing shadows from their people, leaving them feeling empty inside. The separated shadows are stripped of their memories and wander the streets in search of belonging. The people missing their shadows lose a half of their soul.
One fateful night, a young girl falls prey to this evil, and her shadow is nearly consumed by the black ball of shadow. Making a narrow escape, her shadow gathers the courage to brave the cold of winter and search for her lost human.
In Find Me, you guide the girl's shadow through the dangers and puzzles, in hope of reuniting her with her person. As a separated shadow, she perishes under direct light. Find Me is a puzzle platformer with a deep, touching story about loneliness, memories, and identity.
Find Me was created by team Invenio, a group of girls grades 6-11, at the Girls Make Games summer camp in San Francisco, CA.
The team spent 3 weeks writing, designing, and programming the prototype for Find Me. They also created all of the art and music!

GMG runs summer camps all over the country, and of the 35 games developed this summer, Find Me made it to the top 5. The top teams went on to compete at GMG’s 4th Annual Demo Day held at PlayStation. Invenio pitched Find Me to a panel of industry leaders:

The judges were blown away by Invenio's originality and creativity, awarding the team Most Original Concept and the 2017 Grand Prize!
This Kickstarter will let the girls continue to work on the game, hire professional artists, musicians, and programmers, and publish a polished and complete version of their concept. Find Me will be developed at LearnDistrict and published on Steam in winter 2018! (PC/Mac)
I'm Audrey, I'm 13, and I'm really into space. I'm obsessed with NASA and I read lots of science fiction. My favorite book is the Martian. I like to play puzzle and escape-the-room games but I'm also into world-building. I worked on the level and puzzle design of Find Me, did some project management, and a little bit of the code. Getting into the scripts in Unity was super fun. I have two cats that I love and chocolate is the best.
My name is Avalon and I did all the art for find me it was hard but I loved creating the characters, and backgrounds. I have always liked video games and many different kinds to like Minecraft, Marvel hero Lego game, and assassin's creed. I think our team did a really good job on find me. We all did different things but we were so excited to see it through and even happier that we can make it and share it with the world.
Hey, I'm Katie and I worked on level design and music for our game. My favorite video games are Metal Gear, Prey, Pokemon, and Kingdom Hearts. A few of my hobbies are writing stories, drawing, learning new languages, and listening to music. Since video games are my passion, my favorite part about camp was creating the idea for our game, then bringing it to life with my team!
Hi my name is Maeve and I am 11 years old. I taught myself how to code using scratch since I was 9. I have always liked games and coding. I am so exited to be able to do something like Girls Make Games and had a great time. It was even better to be able to have a chance to get our game published and created into a real game. I have never made a game like this using a complex and creative website, I have only made mini tv shows that are like 30 seconds long, But that knowledge helps a lot now that I am putting it to use. I am so happy we got this far and I hope we can go farther.

Girls Make Games is a series of international summer camps, workshops and game jams designed to encourage girls to explore the world of video games. With the help of a growing list of partners like Xbox, PlayStation, Intel and so many others, we're determined to address the gender gap in the games industry, one camp at a time.
Emily's story is not unique. From being stereotyped to being ignored, it's hard work trying to combat the hostility that women - especially young women - face in video game communities these days.
One of the reasons we started Girls Make Games was to give burgeoning young developers in the face of these sometimes discouraging experiences the confidence and experience they'll need to pursue careers in video games or technology.
The more support we can get for programs like Girls Make Games, the more confident young women will feel about becoming developers - knowing that others like them are getting the recognition, encouragement, and support they need.

Risks and challenges
