Day 1: OMFG!
24 hours in, almost one third of our funding goal reached, >500 backers, our earlybird slots sold out or selling out, coverage in RPS and many many tweets and shares of support! Wow! It’s hard to find words to express how we feel. Have some smilies instead: :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D
A thousand thanks to all of you! Your support, big and small, is bringing us closer to our goal at a faster pace than we ever anticipated. The positive reaction to our campaign has been thrilling and all the warm messages of support show that the vision we’ve communicated is shared by many.
But we’re not resting easy here. There’s much work to do both in creating the game and seeing the campaign through to completion. There are a great many DoomRL fans out there who still aren’t aware of this, and many gamers who don’t realise that this sort of roguelike is exactly what they need in their lives. Help us spread the word further!
Now some people have been asking about stretch goals… We have some planned, of course, but we don’t want to be presumptuous and announce them yet. And importantly the stretch goals we announce won’t interfere or slow down the development of the core game. Watch out for more news on this as we approach our funding goal.
