We're raising funds to cover some of the costs of pressing "Well Come Back To You" to vinyl. We've already recorded, mixed, and mastered the album. CDs are being manufactured as I write this! Since everybody in the band loves vinyl, it only makes sense to go the extra step to make our music sound as good as it can. People who like our music will like it even better with the warm glowing tones of vinyl.
Donna and Todd are Project's main songwriters; both play guitar and sing. Jef, drummer extraordinaire, also plays in Colorstore, a favorite and long-standing local band. The album was recorded and mixed by Pall Jenkins, of Three Mile Pilot and The Black Heart Procession, at his studio in San Diego, Stereo Disguise Recording Labs. Brad Lee, of the Album Leaf, saved us lots of trouble by recording bass on several tracks. Roger Siebel at SAE did the mastering.
This album, like the first, is a labor of love for Project. We finished that one, "Long Dry Summer Time," in the fall of 2010, and started writing new songs soon after. Up until now, Todd and Donna have covered all the costs of recording out of their own pockets. We've made our own artwork, and Jef has worked overtime to design and format the covers. The master has been cut and is being mailed to the factory; labels are designed and ready to go. We're producing 500 copies of this release on vinyl. Basically, we're determined to do whatever it takes to finish this album and release it as it should be heard. Funding will help us complete it faster!
