ABOUT ISOLA ART CENTER
Opened in 2001, the Isola Art Center is based in the Isola neighborhood in Milan.
For the first two years it operated without a permanent venue, overlapping with diverse neighborhood events. Later, it worked for four years with a space, squatting a 1500 m2 abandoned factory, a ‘dirty cube’ you could say to contrast with the typical ‘white cube’ of a gallery space.
