Lab-Box - Work in progress

Dear Backers,

the project is set in motion! We are working hard on the moves necessary to prepare the production and fabrication of Lab-Box.

At the moment, we are mainly occupied with the creation of the molds: this phase will take some time, as it is one of the most delicate and crucial steps of the entire project. We are also defining the last details connected to our stretch goals (washing funnell and crank), especially the thermometer.

Many of you would like to know when we will start requesting the shipping, color and module details. Don't worry, we will do it soon: we are organizing the logistics we need in order to handle the data in the best way and to make the whole process free-flowing!

We are also working on the restyling of our current website and on a new portal that will allow you to add more products to your order.

Within the next days, we will write you and ask for your color and module selection (for those who chose only one). As for the shipping address, you can enter these details now and you will then be requested to update them as soon as we are ready with the shipment.

Of course, we will keep you constantly updated about all the rest, too.

Thanks again for your support!

More soon,

Lab-Box Team

      Hi there,
excited to hear you are already designing the injection moulds. Are you working with a contractor? What type of plastic are you planning on using? I am working for a injection moulding machine manufacturer, therefore my interest ;-)
      thanks and all the best!

Try to use Arduino for thermometer and maybe an App for smartphone to keep information about time, exposure etc...for a better UX effort, UX's honor

Good luck as you work through bringing up the manufacturing process! It can be tough sometimes. I look forward to seeing the finished Lab-Box. :-)

Wee! I hope the designs and molds go well and can't wait to see what a few months of progress brings to this wonderful project. It brings up memories of the old lab boxes that Leica sold under their name that were all in one, but yours does SO much more. And it will be super cool to be able to do film in these updated and cooler versions. Keep up the good work and remember, it's not a race, just make the product you wanted us to have and don't worry about trying to get it done super fast. We, well us patient backers, just want to see a great product regardless of time frame. :D
