Thanks to all our backers so far…Stretch Goal of 20K added.
Our Stretch goal of £20,000 will give us the opportunity to produce another colour option (As well as Sea Blue). Vote in comments section for your favourite 2 colours …. the most popular will then be produced and offered to all our backers to choose from at no extra charge.
During my 24 years in Osteopathic practice I have treated thousands of back pain sufferers with all types of problems and successfully designed/marketed several unique solutions.
One of the most significant factors in the outcome of a patients problem is exercise. If the correct exercises are performed well and frequently, the back problems become far easier to treat and far easier to prevent.
With this in mind, my colleagues and I set out to develop a simple prop to enhance the exercises we prescribe in our clinic here in the UK.
After many hours brainstorming we agreed on the need for a prop/support that would actively align, mobilize and decompress the joints of the lower back in a safe controlled form.
Countless props were designed, built and assembled in a variety of materials before being tested within the clinic by our understanding patients.
During the past 2 years, the original design has been continually altered by patient feedback and our clinical evaluation.
To date, our in house research & development has produced a highly effective back pain device that we intend to develop further by developing new sections for Bacrac users to add to the base model and so personalize and enhance the experience.
The modular design and simple assembly means that sections can be removed for smaller framed users, it takes a few seconds to undo the retainer and slide out the extra section.
Using Bacrac is easy. However to get the best from this remarkable device we suggest you use it as often as you can. If work, family, studies prevent you getting 5 minutes during a busy day, then use it after work when your back can really benefit.
1. Simply place on the floor (preferably on a carpet or rug).
2. Lay down next to bac rac. (You may find a small head cushion more comfortable).
3. Draw both knees up, raise your pelvis and slide bac rac under your back with one hand.
4. Lower onto the support and ease into position. (This may need minor re positioning up or down).
5. After a few seconds of adjustment, slowly rock your knees from side to side. This movement only needs to be in the 10-2 range. Continue for 5 minutes then relax in position.
6. Finish by rolling off either left or right. Move onto your hands and knees before bringing one leg through to stand upright.
N.B. Our Bacrac timeline has been edited to account for an unfortunate delay now resolved.
N.B. Our Bacrac target has recently been revised from £25,000 to £15,000 to account for reduced tooling costs.

Risks and challenges
We have taken advice from experts in design, engineering and materials to ensure the bac rac you receive is exactly the unique, highly effective device we intended.
Taking Bacrac from prototype phase to volume production may involve issues we met in building previous versions. So working with our highly skilled and experienced engineering company, any future challenges with tooling, pressure casting and material technology are minimized and will be confidently resolved.
Specifically the contact between PU and ABS components will be closely monitored in production, as easy assembly and handling is vital.
Initially, to ensure quality and function we will assemble bac rac ourselves before fulfilling orders.
We are motivated and well placed to complete the bac rac project on time, as promised, and surpass our backers expectations.
