Looking to add a little variety to adult game night? Drawing Without Dignity is an adult drawing game that brings out all the things you are embarrassed to admit you have done or know about. Because let's face it, that shit is funny! So join your friends in playing a game that reveals more than your poor drawing skills.
We love everything about game night with our friends... the laughing, the taunting, and the alcohol-fueled revelations about that one friend you thought you knew so well.
While we love a number of games that are currently on the market, we felt there was something missing. Eventually, after too many cocktails to count (stretched over just as many nights), we decided it was our turn to make our ideal game to share with our friends.
Months of brainstorming and a few hangovers later, Drawing Without Dignity was created to fill the gap we feel exists in today's market. Our drawing game not only contains inappropriate and suggestive content, but it was designed to keep everyone at the table engaged and laughing... probably at you and your shitty drawings.
Drawing Without Dignity is a suggestive drawing game that requires you to draw inappropriate things. Things like... a Cleveland Steamer. Know what it is? Great! Now you get a chance to draw it for your friends! Don't know what it is? Well, try drawing it anyway and find out which of your sick bastard friends does know.
As of June 1 (our Kickstarter launch date), each game will contain 100 content cards with 5 clues on each card (500 clues total), 12 Cockblock cards, 4 category cards, a sand timer, die, paper, 4 shorty pencils, and instructions, all in a glorious chip-board box. If we have enough backers and interest in attaining some stretch goal achievements, we hope to increase the size of the card deck to include even more offensive material.
Drawing Without Dignity is very simple:
- Form teams and decide which team will play first.
- Select an artist from your team to draw first.
- Roll the die to determine the category. Notice there are only 5 categories listed on the card? Astute observation! (Keep reading to see what happens when you roll a 6.)
- Draw a card from the pile, start the timer, and draw the clue listed on the card.
Your teammates have one minute to guess the clue solely from your shitty drawing. If they guess correctly, your team keeps the card as a point and goes again with a different artist. If your team doesn’t correctly guess the clue in time, the other teams have a chance to shout out a guess and steal the point!
Use a Cockblock card to try and block another team from scoring during their turn. Your team can now get in on the action and steal the point if you guess the clue first. This game play is a great way to keep all teams involved even when they're not drawing.
Remember when we told you to keep reading to see what happens when you roll a 6? Well, it's time to get it on! Rolling a 6 starts an Orgy, where everyone gets in on the action! Roll the die again to determine the clue ALL teams will draw. Each team designates an artist. The first team to guess the answer in time wins the point.
That's it! The team with the most points, when you decide to call it quits, is the winner. You can play our game all night or just an hour; it’s up to you and your undignified friends.
Recruit your friends and help us unlock these stretch goals to make every backer's game even more undignified:
How do we unlock the stretch goals? As our backers start spreading the undignified word about the game, we will all begin to unlock the achievements listed below. Between you and your social media savvy friends, we will be racking them up in no time!
Our first five "Go Get Some!" achievements have been revealed! Go get some done to help add cards to the deck! Achievements will be marked off as each task is accomplished.
Shipping to a US address (via USPS) is included in your pledge amount. International shipping is also available. Please note that international buyers may be responsible for duties or taxes (including VAT) that may be imposed by their country.
Please consider using this Import Duty and Taxes Calculator to find out more information.
Mike is in charge of the business "stuff." Heidi does all of our artwork. Kristin makes sure everything is in line, both financially and otherwise. Curt comes up with the good ideas. Together we all pitch in to make sure this game is as inappropriate and undignified as possible. Now that's teamwork!
Head over to our website www.DrawingWithoutDignity.com and submit your nasty idea. If you are even more undignified than we are, you just might see your idea make it into the deck!
Risks and challenges
While this may be our first game, we all bring different areas of expertise to the table. Our combined strengths make for a pretty badass team!
For this project, we have partnered with a very reliable and experienced producer of games here on Kickstarter. As of June 1, we have the initial prototype in our hands, and we are working on finalizing game content. Provided we meet our funding goals, we are very confident in our ability to bring this undignified game to you and your friends. That is, of course, unless all four of us are involved in a horrific car accident. That would cause a delay, and it would suck for everyone (especially us).Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
