I've just posted up two new rewards:
Aimed at novice or intermediate writers, this involves just 5 people in an intense one-day workshop, where I will teach your the essential Do's and Don'ts of writing for comics. It will not only cover the literary tricks exclusive to sequential art, but will provide insights into best working practices, how to liaise with artists and how to pitch and market your work.
This is a much more intensive course that is aimed at a writer who already has a script, or beginnings of one, and is looking for constructive editorial feedback on improving it. It will involve me assessing the script, providing a personal, face-to-face workshop and three remote follow-up sessions to ensure the script is marketable.
Both these rewards receive all the books, badges and print from the £35 level, and benefit from my 20 years of experience working with writers such as Jamie Delano, Peter Milligan and Grant Morrison, as well as being the lead writer on the forthcoming anthology, Brighton: The Graphic Novel.
