We've built a visually beautiful film we want to bring light to this subject and hope. This film is a little bit spiritual and a little bit sexy and a bit funny wrapped up in the seriousness of this condition, just like life is. We are influenced by the filmmaking of Catherine Breillat, Michael Mohan and Sam Boyd.

Where are we at? / ¿Dónde estamos?
We are set to film in mid August. Because we will be filming at the producer's home, our filming expenses are relatively small and easily covered. The bulk of the expenses are related to post production. We need your help for that phase of the process. After post-production we would like to submit to festivals and to have a premiere party, where backers, cast and crew can meet and watch the film. Follow us on twitter @sexlessfilm
We are going for imagery that reflects the colors of the woman body. Elements that represent sexuality will also be included in the color palette like peach, pomegranates and pink, very romantic pink. In these images we share our inspiration.

Melissa is very happy to be producing this film and dedicates it to her friends and all women building and supporting other women. She thinks actors can learn a lot from singer/songwriters in the way they come up with their own stories to tell. http://www.imdb.com/name/nm2758938/?ref_=fn_al_nm_1 @melissasenorita @sexlessfilm
Melissa launched a campaign for her Webseries "RagDolls" but it was unsuccessful. She candidly admits that "I had no idea WTF I was doing". However she decided to finish the project. In October 2013 she was invited to Elizabeth Espinosa's CNN Latino talk show on the subject "Latinos in New Media." She was featured in several news papers in her natal San Juan, Puerto Rico and in the states by the online publications LatinaLista and NALIP. An anonymous benefactor contacted her through journalist Rosalina Marrero who ran the news and the project was successfully finished. In 2014 "RagDolls" was an official selection of the "LAWebFest" gathering a Best Actress award for Kira Hesser.

This new project shows Melissa's growth as an artist, writer and producer. Even the kickstarter campaign is different (1000% BETTER!) and the community surrounding this project is fantastic. She has decided to try again with all the new knowledge and wonderful people around her.

Risks and challenges
A film is something that is rarely done entirely by one person. There's different people, different areas and phases of a project. The challenge is to finish a project that is full of meaning but that is also well made.
Our focus is on Post-production:
We particularly want post-production not to lack anything of what can make this project aesthetically amazing. So, most of the money is for the editor. We also need mastering and coloring. We need to make DVD copies for backers and festival submissions. Also a viewing party/premiere is on the books.
Kickstarter is an all-or-nothing fundraising campaign. If we don't raise all of the funds requested, we won't get any money at all. Donate today to help us reach our goal!Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
