Ok, so true story. For my 30 years on this earth. I've never had nor made true French toast. My dad is not a fan of anything overly buttery or syrupy. So I was raised and came to know egg bread. Bread dipped in egg, pan fried and salted. Its quite good, so good in fact that anytime I ran into a situation where I could have had French Toast, you guessed it, I asked for it with no syrup or butter. Just plain, salted. No one seems to understand why I do this. They look at me like I have lobsters coming out of my ears. I want to experience French Toast in the way it was meant to be made and all variations that come with that. I want to make true homemade French Toast. Im a terrible cook but I'm open to making it myself. I can also go somewhere and I'll take any suggestions of the best place to get French Toast. I think that with your help I can make my first bite of true French Toast the greatest French Toast ever produced or eaten by a human. I was something syrupy, buttery and delicious. Something incredible. I'm hoping together we can achieve this goal.
Risks and challenges
As I mentioned I'm not the greatest cook in the world, but I'm not the worst either. There's always a chance that first batch is a failure. The idea is that I need to try multiple types of French toast to determine the best. Perhaps the first bite or plate is one that I made. Can I guarantee that its the best French Toast evert tasted. What if it's not? I don't know If I can take that kind of rejection.
