@Gabriel - Above all else, we're not relaunching this project. KS campaigns are very predictable, and the first week gives a strong impression of how the campaign is going to pan out. I didn't cancel the project because it's hard; I cancelled it because it isn't getting the attention it needs to get off the ground. But hey, I don't expect you to understand.

just one man, and this project has had be stretched way too far.

For the record, the ONLY reason that I started work on Reboot before I cancelled this campaign was because I had trouble bringing it down (security issues)! It wasn't an act of disrespect to you guys, since this campaign obviously wasn't getting funded.

So yes, I am sorry to see you go Gabriel, but I can't please everybody.

@Sector - Thank you. I agree whole-heartedly, regardless of some people's attitude towards the decision. I know what you mean about the logo- it was a TERRIBLE experience with a freelancer that further highlights the cons of running a game studio like this. FR needs a proper, full-time team working on it, otherwise it's not going anywhere.

This is one of the reasons KS is so great! We developers can test the water before we sink too many resources into it. FR has hit a roadblock for now, and honestly, I'm happy to be returning to the realm of 2 dimensions.

Thanks for your continued support dude :)

I think you did the right thing. Hell, I think you shouldn't have launched this campaign in the first place, given the very pre-alpha state of the game, there was no way the footage you already have was gonna do it justice. Honestly, I only backed you because I already knew what you were capable of. Had this been a project from another studio/dev I knew nothing of, I wouldn't even have opened this page. I'm not trying to be mean but the game's logo, along with the various systems big ass logos are, for me, a huge turn off. It just feels very amateurish.
That being said, I look forward to DH:Reboot and will gladly pledge again should you decide to kickstart it.

    3. Gabriel Morgan on April 15, 2014

I doubt one person matters, but I just wanted to say that I don't think I will be returning when you relaunch this project.

Despite mentioning that you won't give up on this, you seemed WAY too eager to throw it out the window and go back to the old style. Though I don't think lack of funds helped, it seemed more like you cancelled it because it was hard, then because the project wouldn't accumulate enough funds in time.

So I'm not keen on supporting you again, especially if you just call working on your own game not enjoyable any more, and ESPECIALLY how you started working on that other game BEFORE this Kickstarter was over. I understand that it can be a stressful experience, but I'd think that after 4 other created projects, you would be a little more tactful with your backers.

      Much appreciated sir!

And, he's gone again! I wonder what's up?

    7. Ross Tunney 7-time Creator on April 3, 2014

      That's true! Welcome back Anthony!
Just working on the main hub city; Victorium at the moment. I've scrapped the original design, as it just wasn't doing it for me. I'm aiming for cramped alleyways, lots of little areas to explore, a big marketplace. I'm also breaking the zones down into smaller areas, much like our favourite RPGs of yesteryear!

Ok Ross proof reading is great and all unless your device auto corrects

    9. Ross Tunney 7-time Creator on April 3, 2014

      can't* - I should really proof-read!

    10. Ross Tunney 7-time Creator on April 3, 2014

Unfortunately, I can edit tiers that have been claimed, but I have edited the more expensive ones!

We've had good momentum so far (plus a fickle high-roller, but what can you do?) and I'm interested to see how far we can go!

Sweet! Dawn and Galit are here. :) hey Ross!

Just a note..may want to revise your tiers, the GBP to USD rates don't match up...
Also hope to get up to the PS Vita stretch goal since I'm getting a PSV in a couple months! :)

    12. StromIV on April 2, 2014

Good to see things going so well in just the first few days. Still got a long stretch ahead, but looking good so far.

    13. Adam Mayhem on April 2, 2014

Looks like you have some good momentum so far. Keep it up! :)

Hmmn, just stumbled across this. Looks a whole lot like the old school Final Fantasy 7/8 RPG's? Of course I loved those games. Count me in!

A great game needs two elements story and that it works properly everything else is secondary

    26. StromIV on April 1, 2014

People seem to think every game needs graphics on par with things that come from this huge studios. Or just trolls being well, stupid people that don't have anything better to do than bust on every game in existence.

Whatever. You have proven multiple times that graphics don't make the game. Keep it up, and hopefully people ignore the idiots.

    27. Ross Tunney 7-time Creator on April 1, 2014

@Adam - Awesome dude. Let me know when it goes live!

10% there, WOW. I can only hope that we continue the pace (I really want to get the whole game voiced!)

Ironically, even though this is a massive step up in terms of visuals, it's already been trolled on Greenlight for the retro-style graphics. Story and gameplay come first ;)

    28. StromIV on April 1, 2014

Lottery is needed for my expensive pledging habits. :D

And yep, percentage wise we are doing very well for just the first day. Glad to see it going so well for a first day. Praying that Ross' success in the past, as well as the change to the engine of the game, bring in people that might have been reluctant to support his previous visual styled games.

Congratulations on your next project, Ross! The funny thing is, I was planning to launch my next Kickstarter tomorrow. Looks like we will be doing campaigns side by side once again. Hopefully we can do some more cross-promotion. Good luck!

    37. StromIV on April 1, 2014

Didn't have to, but wanted to back. :)

    38. Ross Tunney 7-time Creator on April 1, 2014

Oh, and thank you for backing this campaign. You didn't have to do that :)

    39. Ross Tunney 7-time Creator on April 1, 2014

Good point Strom! I'll set up a click-through link for it now.

    40. StromIV on April 1, 2014

Just one thing, I don't know if anyone else is having problems with it, but the table for the rewards is pretty small, and there is no real way to enhance it to view it better.

    41. StromIV on April 1, 2014

Welcome back, and good luck! Figured I can finally join again for the adventure. Glad to see the game finally going 3D, and with previous works behind you that let others know you are dedicated to finishing your projects, I will be glad to see another one succeed.

    42. Brendan Murphy on April 1, 2014

I just got the physical copies of Initiation and Corruption in the mail a few days ago, so this is a nice treat! I hope you make it to all the stretch goals!

    43. Ross Tunney 7-time Creator on April 1, 2014

I'm intending to have some voice acting for the main sequences (this is included in the main goal), but if we hit the stretch, we can voice every single character!

    44. Robert Zayin on April 1, 2014

Great project! I hope we'll break through the voice acting stretch goal.

    45. ET3D on April 1, 2014
