Venture Into the Wild!

Posted by Travis (Creator)

Mages of Gravehold, the Expedition has taken a new form. We are announcing a new add-on;Into the Wild an expansion based on the expedition system expansion and unlocking our 300K stretch goal!

Into The Wild contains another expedition which continues the narrative from The New Age. In addition to a new narrative experience, it also contains two new mages, a new nemesis, and more.

In this expansion, you'll join Inco and Razra on their journey to defend Gravehold from a new Nameless that decays all nearby plant life.

Inco is a young mage who survived as a child in the wilds all alone and slowly had to adjust to life in the city. His headstrong friend, Razra, has taken it upon herself to venture into the forest with just her animal companion, Rip, to track down the source of the rot.

Along with Inco and Razra, Into the Wild gives you almost a hundred new cards and will let you fight against the Necroswarm, a deadly and unique foe that Mages are sure to have a great time fighting. This Nameless will assault Gravehold with waves of explosive Bramble minions. Care must be taken to destroy these minions before they get close enough to damage Gravehold with their explosion.

Both new mages bring their own unique playstyle to Aeon's End. Inco, a master of plants, has his own supply pile of Rose Thorns. Only Inco can gain cards from this supply pile, but he can give copies he gains to his allies. His ability lets him cast all Rose Thorns prepped by all players to do a massive burst of damage. Razra, along with her companion Rip, has two copies of her starter card which she can upgrade using her ability. This starter card can be upgraded into two different cards, and then those cards can be upgraded one more time. Razra allows for a ton of customization and flexibility as each time you play as her, you can upgrade your starter cards differently to match the situation.

To receive Into The Wild, all you have to do is add $15 to your current pledge.

Thank you for your feedback, we're always listening, trying to provide the best possible Aeon's End experience for everyone.

@Volpethrope thanks for the answer. I'll add it on later in the pledge manager unless my $15 just so happens to unlock a stretch goal (where my $15 is the only extra pledge amount that will do it, which I highly doubt). Looks like IB&C will absolutely require a pledge manager for this.

Any money you pledge above the cost of your tier (plus shipping) you can allocate towards add-ons in the pledge manager. Money added now contributes to stretch goals.

I get the feeling they just told people to add $15 to their pledge to get the campaign total higher. I'm sure you'll be able to purchase it in the pledge manager, how would they know what the $15 is for otherwise.

Also, Rip is only purple because of the lighting in that card. The other card shows that Rip is gray.

You were born to make resistance, you were born into the wild.

Is Rip the name of the dinosaur? A dinosaur? Why is it wearing a blindfold? Why would there be a purple dinosaur?

Re: Paul DiCocco - You can add $15 to your pledge total right now, yes. Or you can just wait til the kickstarter ends and select whatever addons you want in the pledge manager, and it'll charge you then. When you just add to your current pledge, it basically saves it as a "bank" for purchasing addons through the manager. It'll say like you have X dollars remaining after whatever your pledge tier costs, and it counts as credit toward addons. If you go over that amount then, it'll just charge whatever amount more it needs. Adding to your total now helps push toward more stretch goals, but you don't have to if you don't want to.

How do you add $15 to the pledge? I'm a little hesitant to do it manually because I'm not sure if they will know that my $15 is going towards this expansion. Maybe it's better to add it on when the Pledge Manager is released, if it is? They didn't have a pledge manager for Legacy, from what I remember.

      Done! Looking forward to this!
