What is the MAST?

The MAST "Mousecord Active Suspension Tower" takes up no desktop space at all and is a simple device that really gives you complete freedom of movement for your corded mouse, a feeling normally associated only with battery operated cordless mice.
Production timetable and goals:
When the project is funded the manufacturing schedule will be implemented. The money will be used to produce the final version of the MAST. That requires the purchasing of the Aluminum blocks to cut the molds into and then the packaging for the product. Once the molds are completed there will also be a setup fee to produce the final samples before production starts. Since we have already built 4 EDM prototypes and tested them I already have the CAD CAM data so we are ready for building the molds to produce parts. It will take about 2 weeks to get in the aluminum blocks and another 3-4 weeks to cut them to create the molds for the MAST parts. During that time packaging will be ordered and graphics will be made for the packaging. The current plan is for cardboard canisters to be used to ship the MAST products in so they are well protected and are environmentally friendly. Then after the molds are tested and fine tuned if necessary we will get on the production schedule to produce finished MAST's. I can't say at this time exactly how long that will take but my guess is another 2-4 weeks. The rewards will go out in October and if everything goes according to plan MAST's will start shipping out in December 2013.
All the rewards that require shipping will all be made in the USA and shipped from Maine all over the world to everyone who participated in the rewards program.

I have designed and built many products over the last 35 years. Most of them started from a thought about how to solve simple problems. Once I have an idea for a product I make 3D drawings of it and then would then work with tooling engineers. Then I have CAD-CAM drawings made and then build prototypes for testing the product. At that time I get feedback about the prototypes and if needed make design changes. Next I would put together the resources needed to produce and ship the final product. Resources include the money, tooling engineers, manufacturing, distributors and shipping. Over and over again I have been able to start with an idea and end up with a finished professional product for sale. I have also had sales from many sources all over the world for many of my products.
There are always unseen challenges down the road and I have had a good record in the past of overcoming all the obstacles that I have come across. I have already designed many variations of the MAST as you saw in the video. I have spent a lot of my money and time to get them made to test them and improve them. So I am committed to this product and because I have several working prototypes we are already in a great shape to complete this project. I have everything but the funding to build the injection molds which are very expensive to do in this country. I hope that with this campaign will get funded so we can begin the production tooling for the parts and have finished MAST's available before the end of this year for everyone who orders it.
