Great news, we have shipped out all remaining orders today and want to thank all of you again.
If you haven't received a tracking information yet, please check on your Backerkit profile (accessible via the survey confirmation email anytime) and look it up there. We had some issues with the automated tracking emails.
We are also still waiting for 25 people to answer their surveys, who have already paid and another 25, who haven't paid or provided any further information. If you haven't received any mail from Backerkit please get in touch with us via email@example.com !
First of all thanks a lot for your patience and support of the project. Also many thanks for the first feedback from those, who have already received their units. We really appreciate your words and it's one of the best rewards you can get for your work.
For those, who haven't received their shipping information or parcels yet, please don't be afraid. We are a bit behind the schedule, but it'll all be picked up by DHL on Friday this week. We underestimated the work for the individual orders (with add-ons) and had some customs export things to clarify, which got changed regarding the battery regulations on planes. Please keep in mind that we are a small company with a small, but super passionate team, which does everything at the moment to get the stuff packed and ready.
The good thing is, we've decided to fulfill all parcels, which are still waiting for their dispatch, by DHL, what means that the tracking is better and the leadtime will be reduced compared to the mailing postal products from Deutsche Post.
That is just a little thank you from us, because it doubles to triples our costs for some regions, but we feel it's something we would like to do.
As promised the shipping started last week Thursday. The status right now is that one third of all orders/pledges is already out of the door. The plan is to have another third shipped this week and the last third next week.
IMPORTANT SHIPPING/TRACKING INFORMATION
Please wait until you receive your tracking information, we can't forecast when your actual shipment will be dispatched!
If you have received it please be aware of the following information:
It currently still occurs that the automated link doesn't include the tracking number and just forwards you to the website.
In this case, please copy the tracking # (RC........DE) from your profile and paste it on the website for tracking.
Due to technical reasons, it can take up 3-5 days until your shipment is registered and trackable via DHL! In case you don't see any further details via DHL please try the same Tracking # with your national postal service. It can happen that it gets delivered by them (e.g. USPS, Royal Mail,...). In case your national postal service isn't linked, it might be not trackable at all, but trust us, we did it this way for the last three years and it always worked out. To far areas like Australia, New Zealand it can take 3-4 weeks. We ship most of the parcels with mailing products to keep the costs for you as low as possible, but they take a bit more time. Thanks for your understanding!
You also have the option to start an Investigation Request (date to be entered is receiving of the notification) to see the data of Deutsche Post.
If you have any questions, problems with the shipping or you need to get in touch with DHL, please contact your national DHL service. Contact information can be found under the following link - DHL CONTACT INFORMATION
When you still have issues, please contact us via firstname.lastname@example.org !
Again, thanks a lot for your patience and support. Here is a brief update about the current status.
Last week we could finally start the assembly in Germany and in the following you can find the first impressions.
Our incoming stock really increased to one of its highest peaks. It's coming to numbers and weights we never had before, so bringing everything safely to our facility was really quite an effort. We got many messages, like 'this is FedEx, we have 150kg of cables for you!" or "this is UPS calling, I want to deliver 24 boxes of PCBs". For the last three days we were just organizing the stock and attaching the LiPo batteries on many of the PCBs. Today we'll receive the first batch of enclosures from our German supplier, which will allow us to complete the first units. We are still waiting for the packaging, which comes in five pieces - product box, foam inlays, sleeve, quick guide and shipping boxes. These items are coming from German suppliers and will arrive by the end of this week till mid if next week. We keep you updated as soon as the first units make it to the truck ;-)
