Saving Face is the brainchild of two of the funniest comics around: Bobbie Oliver and Sally Mullins. As you can see from this pilot, it's a very funny show. As you can also see, our production values are less-than-stellar. We need better equipment: an HD camera, a boom mic, a set of lights, various doo-dads, and possibly the help of some tech people who know their way around the equipment. To that end, we are trying to raise $5,000.00 to make Episode 2 of Saving Face look as professional as it is funny. Thank you for your support!
Risks and challenges
We will face many challenges as we complete this process, but most of them are things we've already faced. We will just be facing them with more money. We are learning through the process of making our videos. While we are a collection of writers and performers, filming is new to us, so we are learning from experience about the challenges of editing, continuity, working with other actors, etc. We have learned so much, but we are continuing to learn every day. Our new equipment will be much more suited to the job, but we will need to learn how to use it and become proficient as we learn these new skills. To this end, we have spent the last few months building a network of people who have been working on similar projects, who have gone through the process of Kickstarter, of filming their web series, and of promoting and publishing it. We have contacts who can help us solve problems and work around them.
Look: see that pilot video? This was completed for a price of zero dollars. Imagine what we could do with actual money.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
