New Sweet Rewards from La Newyorkina's Secret Stash

As I finalized the plans for rebuilding La Newyorkina's Kitchen, I listed the most important equipment needed starting with the PALETERA MAKER, which I can now purchase with your help.  But because the list is long, and thanks to the overwhelming support I've found on Kickstarter, I hope we can continue raising funds for other important kitchen equipment.

Soon, I´ll be attending the yearly ice cream expo in Guadalajara, Mexico and will review different machines to replace the ones I lost including some old school traditional ice cream makers (the ones that go inside wooden buckets).

But to do this, I wanted to also share some of my other favorite Sweet Mexican Delights.  As such, I have added a new reward that includes 2 items from my secret stash:

  • SWEET TOMATILLO SAUCE
  • SPICY MEXICAN CHOCOLATE HOT FUDGE SAUCE

The tomatillo sauce is from the recipe featured in "My Sweet Mexico". The jam is sweetened with piloncillo that give it a nice molassy taste, canela and is a bit tart. I use it to top vanilla ice cream or to serve with any soft or semi soft cheese and crackers. The Spicy Hot Fudge Sauce is make using guajillo, chipotle and arbol chiles to provide various notes of flavor. This sauce can be warmed up and served on ice cream but its also yummy as a spread (or eaten with a spoon).  I'm sure you'll love them.
