Several months ago, we began talking with Dan Hannon, producer for Manchester Orchestra and quite the roster of other incredible artists (check it out: www.eldestonly.com), about making our next album together. We are beyond grateful to have this opportunity to work with him and we could surely use your help in making this possible.
After close to 10 years of making music together, with steady progress and increased accolades throughout that time, this is the biggest opportunity we have been presented with. We are calling on our fans to help bring this to light and we're sure you won't let us down!
Please take a look at the reward packages and let us know what else you might want to see offered!
For all of the newcomers to The Racer family, please take a listen to our previous album, Passengers (released 2013):
Passengers is the album that caught Dan's ear. With him and Passengers producer Mike Kalajian back on board for this project, we think our next album has nowhere to go but up. It has been a long and amazing journey for us as a band, and we want to bring our fans into our little world to share in the process with us this time around.
No contribution is too big or too small; and everyone who pledges anything, even a single dollar, will receive regular video and email updates from the studio to stay up to date on how the project is coming along. It's going to be an incredible, fun, and sometimes difficult journey, but we sincerely can't wait to share the process and the finished product with you.
As always, thank you for your support and for believing in us. We love you all!
Pete, Mike, Eric, Mike, and Steve

Risks and challenges
As with any album or large collaborative effort, there a lot of moving parts. Album production is subject to unforeseen delays or complications, but we take those in stride and promise to push through anything that stands in the way in order to complete this project. Our rough target release timeframe is to have the album ready for release in March of 2015. At such an early stage, it's almost impossible to determine whether this target date is too ambitious, too cautious, or just right...so please stay connected to us via Facebook, Twitter, and our email list for regular updates on the project.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
