I went to Nashville and came back with a to-do list!!
I've received most of your addresses, but if you want to receive a hard copy of the album and you haven't responded to the survey I sent out, please do! I should get the CDs back early next week and will be spending early October getting those puppies in the mail!
I went down to Nashville last week for AmericanaFest - a week full of panels on all things music related, and then fantastic showcases by Americana artists in the evening. I went there specifically to learn more about music promotion and I learned a lot. Maybe too much ;) I've got all kinds of ideas rattling in my brain, but pretty quickly here I will need to make some choices about the smartest way to allocate my promotion funds. I always want to do my best anywhere I go, but I do feel an additional level of responsibility that the promotion funds come from you lovely people! I want to do right by you! Thank you again for believing in me!
This week I am working on a lot of nitty gritty things - getting my bio in order, creating a one-sheet to send to press and radio folks, getting graphics ready for the release show, uploading the album to the place that will send it to itunes/spotify/whatnot. This is the non-glamourous part of record making, so I will be drinking lots of coffee about it! :)
I should have a ticket link soon for the release show on November 10! I hope you'll join us! Ooh - and fill out those surveys so I can send you your rewards!
Have a great day!
PS - I'm looking out the window and it is a rainy day, and it is Monday, and I can hear Karen Carpenter singing about it getting her down, but I'm too excited for any of that! Thank you so much for being a part of this journey!
