Good morning!!

First, I need to say thank you again!  Last Friday, I made that thank you video, but I'm going to keep on thanking you at every turn!  For showing up, backing, sharing this campaign - my heart is so full.  

Yesterday was busy, busy, busy for the record, and it was all things made possible by YOU BEAUTIFUL BACKERS!   When I woke up there were 4 variations of album art from Ellen Stoehr, the graphic designer I'm working with, to look at and make decisions on.  I chose an exact color scheme and then realized I'd made the liner notes wayyyyyy too long, so I set to editing myself!

Then, after getting the kiddos to my Mom's, I went to RiverRock Studios to listen to the mixes one last time.  We made a few changes, and then I gave Eric the OK to send it to mastering.  Then I paid the big ol' mastering bill (that's the part that is directly possibly because of you!).  I made Eric explain mastering to me ONE MORE TIME, because no matter how often I've been told what it is over the last 7 years of record making, that information refuses to stick in my brain.  But it's important :) 

Finally, I went to meet with Krista Vilinskis at Tinderbox Music to discuss album promotion.  Krista worked on my last album campaign, and she did a phenomenal job securing press for the CD release, and reviews on both a local and national scale.  She is also the cheerleader who told me to pursue my own Americana radio campaign last go-round.  Which I DID!  And even though it gave me all the anxiety, I'm so glad I listened to her.   We talked dates, what ducks I still need to get in a row so that she can properly do her job, and how we can be most strategic with my budget.  I walked out of there with a TO-DO LIST (ps - I'm really ready for my kids to go back to school so I can to-do!)

So now we are at 8 days left of the campaign.  I am $60 dollars away from $8000.  Which would give me roughly $1000 for the PR budget.  Last album I spent $1200 on PR and $400 on mailing supplies, so I'm really hoping to sell a few more pre-orders in the next 8 days.  Ok, I'm specifically hoping to sell 42 more CDs!  Or a few whiskey tickets and a few CDs!   If you have a friend who'd like to pre-order, please send the link their way!  

In the meantime, I've got a Toilet Tune that should be going live at lunchtime, if you follow me on Facebook.  Woo hoo!!!!
