Hello! Thank you for checking out my Kickstarter campaign. Katie Brown Los Angeles (KBLA) is a consolidated line of clothing and accessories made up of styles that exemplify sophisticated, classic, timeless pieces that won't go out of style. KBLA is the antithesis of "Fast fashion": KBLA personifies "Slow Fashion". In my prior entrepreneurial life, I was a restauranteur for over a decade. Supporting the Slow Food movement was an integral part of our restaurants. I then saw a need for bringing attention to a more conscientious approach to the production and consumption of clothing.
KBLA is almost three years old since its conception: one year writing the business plan, one year in development and production and almost one year since launching and selling to the public through retail accounts, trunk shows and private sales.
Everything listed as rewards has already been produced and sits in my office/showroom. There is a possibility that some items will need to be reordered if demand is great. If this happens, no need to worry! My relationships with the manufacturers have been secured!
If you are interested in seeing the website/eCommerce site and reading customer reviews, please visit www.katiebrownla.com.
I need to raise at least $18,000 in order to introduce new styles to the line. Please help support "Made In America", as well as the entrepreneurial spirit. Thank you for your interest!!
Risks and challenges
Every plan has a strong potential of running into challenges. With this campaign, the product is already either in my office/showroom, ready to ship at the completion of the campaign or ready to be reordered, already having secured the manufacturer, pattern and fabric.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
