The True Believers Comic Festival – for comic book lovers, by comic book lovers!
First off, thank you for taking the time to look at this KickStarter for The True Believers Comic Festival! Our mission is to put together a comic convention that puts the comic part back at the forefront ahead of everything else. We want to give you a great one day event that gets you close to the comics, creators, artists and traders.
The True Believers Comic Festival will be held at The Cheltenham Racecourse in Gloucestershire and is planned for Saturday 7th February 2015. This venue boasts space for a convention floor that can hold up to a maximum of 200 tables for sellers & exhibitors, additional space for an artist’s alley and two rooms for live Q&A panels and events. You can view a full list of the rewards to the right of this page, but what we’re offering you with this Kickstarter campaign is the chance to pre-book your tickets and tables for the convention now and as a thank you for your support we have the following exclusive deals -
TICKETS – We are offering you the chance to buy an exclusive True Believers Pass to the festival, which is only available through this campaign and is limited to just 130. You can also buy your standard pass to the convention here, with no booking fee.
There is also a chance to get a pair of exclusive True Believers Comic Festival shoes as seen below (mens shoes are available too).
TABLES – We are offering sellers and exhibitors the chance to book their table(s) for the event at a reduced price as part of this Kickstarter along with some exclusive extras (and there is no booking fee either).
ADVERTISING SPACE - We are offering exclusive deals to companies that may wish to advertise at our convention or in our festival programme. Please email us for details.
Everyone who buys their tickets or tables as part of this KickStarter will receive AN EXCLUSIVE TRUE BELIEVERS ART PRINT by artist NICH ANGELL.

All rewards will be available for collection at the venue on festival day or on request from Proud Lion in Cheltenham from 7th January 2015. All thank you's and company logos will be displayed on our website within a week of this Kickstarter ending. All tickets will be posted out to you in November 2014.
Our initial target for this Kickstarter is to cover the cost of the hire of the venue, pay for advertising and cover the expenses of our guests on the day. Anything we raise over our initial target will be used toward making sure you have a great convention experience, including hiring extra rooms to bring a you a bigger event.
We offer a passion for what we are doing and a dedication to get it done. We have previous experience in putting on other events (both our own and for others) and we are supported by a strong team of people whowe will work with to make this event happen. We have some great guests lined up (which can be seen on our website www.oktruebelievers.com) and we will be adding more names to this list as the event gets closer.

Risks and challenges
We’re not going to lie to you, there are risks involved in an event like this. If we’re being really negative, things could go very wrong like the guests we’ve booked not being able to attend at the last minute, or ticket sales being so low we have to scale the event right back to something smaller. These are all risks that go with any event of any size.
What you have from us is a dedication to give you the best convention that we are able to deliver and to give you a great day out. This event is the culmination of years of desire and work to see this become a reality and it’s that drive and passion that will help us over come any obstacles and make this convention happen, not for money, but because it’s what we’ve wanted to do for a long time now.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
