About this project
This is a pilot to see if there is enough interest to create something as amazing as Mortal Kombat Legacy. This short will have many talented film professionals. Michelle Lee (Mileena in MKL2), David Wald (Power Rangers, TMNT), Michelle D’Antonio ( LOL cosplay extraordinaire), Ernie Reyes Jr. (Keno from TMNT2, Surf ninjas.), Shane Warren Jones (Cyrax from MKL1). Hopefully we reach our Stretch goals and are able to introduce even more talented people to this amazing cast.
We want to go as big as possible with this short. We have created a number of stretch goals which will make this fight even more EPIC!

Risks and challenges
The biggest challenge is going to be costuming and props. The game costuming is very elaborate and most of the funding will go to costumes. We have an amazing Cosplayer who makes her own costumes but she will be working alone. Hopefully with enough funding we can have an assistant help her. Actors not being available for a certain day or props might take an extra couple of days than expected are some examples as why this might be pushed. Ultimately the fight will be shot, it's just a question of when (we're aiming for the end of July, but if not then further in the summer.) Of course backers will be kept up to date with any delays.
We're lucky in that our equipment, which is owned by our director, where availability and rental cost are not an issue.
Once the film is shot, the visual effects will take a bit of time complete. The director is our sole VFX animator, but good effects take time and allowing him said time will result in a more polished fight. This time will also be used for various other post production tasks such as editing and dubbing.
We have a great pre visual shot of the action. With fine tuning, more time to prep and funding, we will be able to finish an amazing fight.
Ultimately, things may get pushed back, but it's up to us to keep moving forward.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
