In JurassAttack!, two players face-off in an epic head-to-head dinosaur battle!
In this quick card game, each player chooses a dinosaur or pack of dinosaurs from their hand, then reveals them simultaneously to compare Ferocity values to see who has the highest. Each of these prehistoric pugilists have their own special abilities, combo possibilities and varying score values to add to the tide of battle! After resolving the special abilities of each dino, the winner adds their rival's dinosaurs to their score pile while the loser gets to draw new cards. A well-placed bluff or an intentional loss may provide an edge to victory in this game of subtle strategy and prehistoric pounding!
Some dinos hunt alone while others may pack (be played in sets) with dinos of different types. Some dinos have acid spit that blinds the other player for a turn while others take a swing on the way to their opponent's score pile. And sometimes, players may be able to sneak some of their precious eggs into their own score pile to protect the future generation.

You may have noticed that this campaign is a little shorter than a typical Kickstarter project. There are a couple reasons for that.
1. We want to get this game made and get it to production quickly after the campaign closes. By wrapping up the project a little earlier, we'll be able to get the game to the printer more quickly which leads to faster delivery to you!
2. A short campaign might help us avoid the mid-campaign slump. There is a time in every campaign when things really slow down so we are experimenting with a shorter campaign to cut down on the amount of time spent in the valley.
3. It's a small game at it's core so we want to keep it that way. While we have some Stretch Goals planned (see below) to add value to the game, we really think that one of the things that is so special about this game is that it packs a big punch for being such a small game. So with a shorter campaign, we'll try to avoid too much time for our collective braintrust to make this thing into something we didn't intend. We're not interested in experimenting with genetically modified dinosaurs...we saw how that worked out.
So a quick campaign for a quick game. That's the plan. We're sticking with it but we'll need your help more than ever to help us get the word out, far and wide, to help us connect with backers that will enjoy JurassAttack!

"JurassAttack! is an excellent 2-player game and gets a dino-sized thumbs up from The Inquisitive Meeple." -Ryan Sanders, The Inquisitive Meeple.

"JurassAttack is a keeper. It's fast,, fun, portable, easy to teach, and the price is right. There are genuine decisions to be made, and I love making them--and especially watching my kids make them." -Scott Firestone, Theology of Games
JurassAttack is a super-fun 2-player filler. It's incredibly easy to teach, but takes time to master the strategies--and that really makes it fun! JurassAttack has quickly become a family favorite! -Jeremiah Isley, Theology of Games
"I've played this several times with my kids, and we've really enjoyed it. My 8-year-old says it's "extremely fun" and loves the Spinosaurus, which gives you an instant win. My 11-year-old liked the illustrations. Both of them enjoyed playing it, and my 8-year-old managed to beat me more often than not...JurassAttack! is definitely a keeper for my family, yet it has enough depth for adults, too." -Jonathan Liu, GeekDad
"JurassAttack! is yet another quick and clever filler game from Green Couch Games. In addition to the t-rexcellent game play, the great artwork and tarot sized cards bring a larger than life feel to this bite-sized dueling game. Be dino-sure to wrap your tiny little arms around this game before the campaign is extinct." - Dan Halstad, League of Nonsensical Gamers
"JurassAttack! is a great two player filler war-style game. There's enough strategy to be a little thinky and some great mechanisms to keep the game fun. Definitely worth a look!" -Ken Grazier, Geek-Craft.com
"JursassAttack! looks to be the first published game from Ryan Cowler and I believe he has a nice, light, fun game on his resume with this one. The cards, even in pre-production format, are fantastic. I love the art and design on them, and I also love that they are tarot sized, it is about dinosaur fighting after all, so the cards should be bigger than normal, right? The play is quick, which is kind of important in this as it isn’t meant to be a big full game, it’s a fun directly confrontational filler that plays in about 10-15 minutes or so and there are some good opportunities for bluffing your opponent." - Brandon Kempf, What Did You Play This Week Podcast Thing

"JurassAttack! is a compelling two player dinosaur battle. The card powers are well thought out, interactive and clever, and the cards themselves are absolutely beautiful." -Ben Pinchback, game designer (Fleet, Eggs and Empires, and Floating Market)
"Definitely one of the most accessible card games I've ever played, JurassAttack! is fun, unique, portable, and easy on the eyes!" -Ben Haskett, game designer and publisher (Tower, Project Dreamscape)
"JurassAttack is a clever game with surprising depth that reveals itself with repeated plays. You really feel like dinosaurs pitted in a duel for supremacy. Great little game that can be played with people of various ages and experience." -Matt Wolfe, game designer (Wombat Rescue, and Green Couch Games' upcoming Avalanche at Yeti Mountain) and regular contributor to the Geek All Stars Podcast
As we get closer to our funding goal, we'll be announcing some sweet STRETCH GOALS to keep the party going. We have plans to add value to JurassAttack! that we think you will really appreciate. We plan to add value with promo cards that will increase replayability with added game content.
We have a few stretch goals in mind and we hope to hit them all! But know that just as with our previous campaigns, we won't likely be adding more just to add more. We believe that more isn't always better, especially if it holds up production and delays delivery.
That being said, we'll be listening closely to your feedback and ideas and will carefully consider all the ideas that comes our way.
When we reach $9000 every backer will get 4 Herbivores to add to JurassAttack!
If you've checked out the videos and read the reviews and still want more info, you can check out the Rules PDF RIGHT HERE!
The rules are hosted on BoardGameGeek and will require a free account to download. But if you like games, BGG is the place to be so head over there now to get plugged into the world-wide gaming community!
If you've read the rules and are still on the fence please check out the FREE PRINT AND PLAY RIGHT HERE! This way, you can try the game out and if you like the experience then come on back to pledge for a full production copy!
We believe in this game and know that if you give it a chance you'll see the love and attention we've put into developing it for game tables around the world. So get on board and give it a go! See for yourself if JurassAttack! is for you.
JurassAttack! is available world-wide and all copies will ship from within the US! Shipping fees will be added to your pledge level when you select your home location.
Added Shipping: US-$5, Everywhere Else-$10 . Check out our 5 copy pledge level to save 40% on shipping!
Note: International Backers will be responsible for any import fees, brokerage or delivery surcharges, or applicable taxes that may be levied after we have shipped your package. However, this campaign is CUSTOMS FRIENDLY. The low price point and small box for this game should not cause any customs fees for backers pledging for 1-2 copies. We have learned that shipping is a costly endeavor and we must try to keep our costs as low as possible to keep our games at an appropriate price point for when they hit retail. We are saying THANK YOU to our early adopters on Kickstarter by offering the game at a price below MSRP ($15) and adding some extra content at no extra charge (when we reach STRETCH GOALS, of course).

Risks and challenges
My experience with our last campaigns, Fidelitas and Best Treehouse Ever, provided quite the learning curve. And so far I have been able to avoid delays and common pitfalls by paying special attention to the following areas and building on previous experience:
Art and Design. The art and design for the game is complete so we'll be ready to print shortly after the close of the campaign. I always like to show you I mean business by paying for the art and design upfront!
Playtesting and Reviewing. JurassAttack! has been tested by many different playtesters and even a bunch of game designers. I have sent a bunch of prototypes to a variety of reviewers. I want to earn your trust by providing you with a solid product that has been thoroughly tested and reviewed by folks from varying backgrounds and perspectives.
Past Experience. This is only the third Kickstarter project I've run for Green Couch Games but I have helped with several other successful campaigns. Also, having spent many years working in retail and customer service, I understand the importance of treating backers with respect and following through with projects.
Of course, there are always unexpected circumstances that pop up, but I PROMISE to communicate every step of the way and do my best to use creative problem solving meet the challenges head on.
Thank you so much for giving Green Couch Games a chance. As a small company, I truly can't do this without you. I will do my best to thank you by creating great little games that you love to play.
