Many of you are familiar with the saga of HIXX. For those of you with limited exposure, I'll give you an abbreviated Hixxtory. Around 10 years ago a couple of friends gathered in a basement to enjoy some beverages. They enjoyed their beverages...a lot. The flowing libations provided inspiration for the concept and the first few songs that would become HIXX. Sadly, soon after the project's inception, one of the friends moved on to greener pastures. Was it over? Yes, perhaps for a little while. But the hiatus didn't last that long. In fact it took hardly any time at all for its founder to assemble the first incarnation of the road worthy HIXX. Many of the songs from the "beer demos" were reinterpreted and injected with the urgency and the testicular fortitude these tunes deserved. Gigs were played and the EP, "Open Season" was released. Soon, the single "Gatorbait" followed. More gigs and many personnel changes ensued. Cut to the present day and the summer of 2012. The band sounds tighter & meaner and HIXX shows are more fun then they've ever been. The time is right for us to give back to the faithful that have supported us and to indoctrinate a new passel of fans. All of the basics have been tracked and now the fun of singing and overdubs will follow. Recording has been relatively inexpensive. The amount we're hoping to raise on Kickstarter will cover artwork, a few legal fees and finally manufacturing and packaging. The incentive plans are suggested. Any amount you give will be enormously appreciated.
Thanks in advance and much love from,
