The Hardwood Whiskey Glass
A handmade whisky glass that enhances your drinking experience. Our glass is sealed using beeswax that helps keep the wood protected while adding some sweet flavors and notes in the process. It has an intentional flair which helps direct the appropriate and more complex aromas directly to your nose. This glass is more durable and less refined than your traditional whiskey glass but it definitely serves the purpose and function.
Wood and Whiskey
Wood has always played a huge part of the whiskey making process. Oak barrels have been used to hold, age and flavor the whiskey for centuries. With this glass we have taken the step of reuniting the whiskey again with natural wood adding a bit more to your experience.
Wood Type and Shape
Each vessel is shaped from natural unprocessed beach wood that has been carefully selected. Beach wood has very tight grains that make it appropriate for a drinking vessel. Each glass is unique and some variation between glasses may be noticeable. Remember, these are handcrafted on a lathe one at a time.
Keeping Tradition:
Our design is inspired by industry experts, friends and much testing. It was a challenge to develop this shape in wood form, but after countless tests and prototypes, we achieved a successful unique design that Sipdark stands behind. With the added beeswax sealant, this vessel can be used and maintained for years.

We use an innovative blend of beeswax to ensure a proper seal on your glass. Each glass is individually sealed with sweet natural beeswax prior to shipment.

- Our previous campaign was canceled because the shape of the glass was similar to other trademarked glasses in the industry
- We feel that this project is an improvement because we now have a unique design and an improved wood type that provides even greater leak resistance.
WHO WE ARE
SipDark was created by two friends who have a passion for making the finer things in life, better. Fine beverages can be enjoyed at some of life’s greatest moments and adventures. It is our mission to help maximize your enjoyment with design conscious beverage accessories.
Sipdark if focused on making whiskey accessories, custom glassware, cigar rests, and other unique products.
We are now a small team that has experience handling large quantity orders and one-off customization on time.
Risks and challenges
Our risks for this project depend greatly on quantity. We will be able to handle and fulfill lower quantities very efficiently with a very low risk to having any delays.
As quantities get larger, supplier manufactures will be utilized and some risks become apparent. Multiple suppliers have been vetted, but a possibility for a delay due to manufacturing/shipping has some small potential. We plan to over communicate project status and any delays as we work to make this project come to life.
