A few people have asked me what exactly these two words mean. I'll try my best to give a short summary!
Psychogeography is a way of thinking about your environment. It was a term coined in 1955 by the theorist, writer & filmmaker Guy Debord (founder of the Situationist International Movement) who described it as..."a whole toy box full of playful, inventive strategies for exploring cities... just about anything that takes pedestrians off their predictable paths and jolts them into a new awareness of the urban landscape."
Psychocartography is a variation on this concept- it's also the name of my blog & how I would best describe my map drawings.
