Everyone loves Tutu & the Pirates, and everyone would love to hear new songs by them! Everyone sort of enjoys HotLips Messiah, in a masochistic sort of way, and the masochists out there would love to hear new songs by them as well!
We need to raise the funds to get out the punkest 7" Chicago has ever released. The $1,000.00 would be enough to get out the 300 limited edition colored vinyl, 4 song (2 from each band) EP. It would all culminate with a Halloween record release party. Chicago's first punk band and Chicago's first mutant rock band, smashing into each other like God Particles in Fermilab's Large Hadron Collider.
Tutu & the Pirates http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=biaY7Lg57KU
Formed in 1977 by a cross-section of childhood friends and misfits, the Pirates culled inspiration from The Stooges, MC5, and the New York Dolls, as well as 60s garage and the Mothers Of Invention. Quirky and fearless, these guys made it up as they went along, quickly becoming Chicago’s go-to opening band for the Ramones (five times), the Undertones, and the Pretenders.

HotLips Messiah is Chicago's premier mutant rock band. They have been a fixture on the Chicago punk and mutant rock scene for a decade and played legendary venues such as the Lounge Ax and the Fireside Bowl. Large venues like the Congress Theatre, and dinky little holes in the wall like the Big Horse. They have played with bands as obscure as Phil A. Sheo & the Goods and with bands as huge as the Misfits. With classic original bands like the Avengers and the Germs and with modern inspired schizos the Rotten Fruits, the Urinal Mints and the Functional Blackouts. Musically, they are a tornado of noise, filth and ass-shaking melody and catchiness. Lyrically, they use science fiction and sleaze as a blunt metaphor for the INhuman condition mankind finds itself in today.
