What is the Pi Vessel?
The Pi Vessel is an affordable minicomputer for the whole family that provides its users with sufficient processing capabilities for personal computing and entertainment, but costing a fraction of other devices with similar functionality. It’s a PC that lets its users enjoy the advantages of the Raspberry Pi without the hassle of finding the complex components, downloading software, choosing the appropriate case and putting together the PC with the Raspberry Pi inside. It’s a simple and affordable solution for households that are looking for a media player to play movies in a full HD quality or PC for personal computing, gaming and entertainment. Pi Vessel is an excellent first PC for kids who want to learn coding or for general educational purposes.
By selecting the most efficient and proven components and assembling them with the Raspberry Pi board in a stylish aluminium case that will enhance any interior design, we removed the majority of difficulties associated with using the Raspberry Pi. The result is a simple, affordable and kid proof mini PC for the whole family.
Why the Pi Vessel

The Pi Vessel is a minicomputer for the whole family that lets you work with text, presentations and spreadsheets, as well as play games, videos and audio recordings.
The computer can also be used as part of a home theater, storing and playing films in full HD quality. In addition, the Pi Vessel can work as a control and information processing unit in a Smart Home system.
In the office, the Pi Vessel can be used for streaming presentations via a projector, as a useful and inexpensive alternative to bulky PCs or expensive laptops.
Ultra-strong and stylish case
When developing the case for the Pi Vessel, the goal was to create a stylish and durable case that would effectively be a lifetime purchase. The result is a compact, stylish and ultra-strong aluminum case that can easily withstand not just a hammer blow, but also a weight of a car.

- Operating system Raspbian (Linux) with open-source preinstalled programs

The original idea behind the Pi Vessel was to create a computer that would provide its users with sufficient processing capabilities for work and play, but costing a fraction of other similar devices. The Pi Vessel is one of the most affordable computers on the global market.
The Pi Vessel logo is elegantly stamped on the top cover of the aluminum case.
The stylish aluminium case is produced from anodized solid metal plate.
We created the case that can easily withstand not just a hammer blow, but the weight of a car. We tested this by first smashing the case with a hammer and then driving a car over it. The result is the perfectly functional Pi Vessel with no signs of malfuntions. The case is effectively a lifetime purchase.
History and Plan
To ensure the highest possible quality of manufacturing we located our production plant in Germany, where the Pi Vessel is manufactured and stored. The minicomputer is then shipped to any location worldwide.
Risks and challenges
Before launching the project on Kickstarter we subjected the hardware of the Pi Vessel to multiple tests to reduce the risk of malfunctions and defects. By prototyping we managed to develop strict production guidelines to ensure the appropriate quality of the PC and mitigate the risk of defects. However, the risk of malfunction and defects remains an internal issue that may arise. To ensure that our customers will not receive the Pi Vessel or any of its components with defects we developed a testing lab where all of the Pi Vessels will be subjected to quality tests before shipment.
To ensure the timely delivery of the Pi Vessel we set aside sufficient production capacity based on our sales forecasts. Given the innovative nature of the product and possible unexpected surges of demand we anticipated possible stock shortages and as a result delivery delays. To mitigate this risk we reached an agreement with our production facility to have an option of guaranteeing additional production capacity in case the factual sales will be above our forecasts.
