Party in a box! We have almost finished this crazy party, now we want to send it to you! Our minimum goal will cover lay out, packaging and duplication.
The amount we are asking for is THE MINIMUM we need to to physically wrap up and share this music with you, covering the cost of layout and duplication. Essentially, the BOX IT COMES IN.
In truth, we need a LOT MORE HELP. The project is in its completion stage. A few more tracks need to be laid down, a boatload of editing and engineering need to happen and the final mastering and mixing. The photography session was brilliant, now the art needs to go to layout and duplication.
So far all of the work has been unpaid. Meaning in my case, all expenses are piled up on my credit card. Everyone else who worked on this, including the musicians, the photographer (Thank you, Joseph Cultice, ROCK Star photographer!), the recording studios, the engineers... have worked FOR FREE. With the promise that if we can get funding, some money will be coming their way.
THAT AIN'T RIGHT. But it was the only way. And everyone who has given their time, talents, sweat and blood so believes in this project they have been willing to give so much for so little.
We all share a passion for music, and believe families should have access to songs from around the world. We want you to know great songs, to sing them, play them, have them as part of your lives. We know how important a broad musical vocabulary is, how rich it makes our souls, and that the songs we share in childhood connect us all throughout our lives.
Even with paying token gratuities to all involved this project should cost about $15,000. bucks. I would like to raise that amount.
But... I am a practical person. I am setting the funding goal on the lowest dollar ammount it will take for me to be able to send you a copy. Because it would break all of our hearts if this baby never gets pressed.
Risks and challenges
With funding, this project will happen. No doubt about it.
If we make the goal we will go to press. We anticipate a June release.
If we surpass the goal- people will be paid. We will have a PR person working with us to spread the word. We will pay musicians, we will not be mired in the monetary and spiritual debt this project took to complete.
The greatest challenges we face are ones we have created ourselves in making the choice to live our lives as creative people. Knowing our work is valued is the greatest reward there is. Being able to pay a musician even a hundred bucks for the work they contribute, the gift of their craft, upon which they have labored their entire lives, seems paltry. But I can not tell you how appreciated it would be.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
