What is a "pibble" you ask? its often the term used to describe a Pit Bull, a kinder, gentler term that better reflects the true nature of these great friends. It rolls off your tongue like the endless kisses you will receive on your face if you ever meet one on the street.
These pajamas are for everyone !!

The Story behide the Pajama ~ in the beginning...
Living in Canada and experiencing the cold more so than most, I quickly discovered that our boy Thor wasn't so happy about going outside in the winter to do his business..not only that, he is a complete blanket hog at night-time. Spending half my nights without covers gave me an idea. In late November 2013 I bought some fleece and got busy in my sewing room thus giving birth to my first prototype dog "onesie" ! ~ a four legged open belly (and bum) design fleece pullover.
After making two pairs for "the boys" I posted pictures on my Facebook profile and shared with Prairie Pitbull Rescue (PPBR) the local rescue who saved Zeus from a shelter in California. The response was overwhelming... (over 300 likes and 75 comments within a short period of time) everyone wanted to know where they could get the "pajamas" !! Early December while in Mississippi training for my day job, I received a message from PPBR telling me everyone wants my jammies , also asking if I would like to pair up at the Winterfest Adoption Event... I agreed. Flying home gave me time to think about what was happening and I decided that I needed a name. Since it all started with one cold pitbull and a local rescue. And knowing that I wanted to give back in some way, I decided that partial proceeds from each pair sold at this event was going to PPBR. After arriving home and kissing my boys goodnight ..I prepared for my debut. The next day was amazing!! People came looking for me.. After selling out in 2 hours.. We stayed taking orders, giving hugs and hanging out with all the adoptable pups. I gave my first donation of $50 and six pairs of Pjs.
Pajamas for PitBulls was born.
The Rewards !! What you get...
~ fabric choices for pajama rewards will be released in the Backers-Only Updates lounge ~
Project Pajama !!
As you probably noticed from my video, production of these absolutely adorable, cozy and functional pajamas has been underway for just over a year and are a huge hit !!
I am looking for funding from Kickstarter to assist with marketing and promotional opportunities. This will help me reach out to more diverse and untapped demographics, enabling me to help more rescues and shelters. Since one of my business objectives is to “give back” to these groups that help not only Pit Bulls but other breeds as well, Finding them loving “fur”ever homes. To date I have donated to groups across Canada but I know I can help more!!
~With increased marketing comes increased sales which allows for more donations to rescues and shelters.~
There are several events that I would like to attend that can help me market my company, I have been invited to participate in a Celebrity Connected event where I would participate in a gifting suite to which I would showcase Pajamas for PitBulls. SuperZoo, an event for pet retailers in Las Vegas is also an event that would be great for exposure into the retail market.
The Future and Global Pajama Domination
My Pajamas are Made in Canada ! and my plan is to keep it that way !! If the demand gets too much for me alone..I have plans to keep the production local and home based utilizing local creative energy. I feel I have a personal connection with each customer and the jammies I create for their dog ... each one is cut out by hand and sewn by me with the doggies measurements in mind and my size guide. Also I do custom modifications for those who walk on only three legs "tripawds". I have plans for expanding my fabric offering to include cotton prints to better serve my customers who are in those southern climates and don't require warm fleece but want jammies for cooler nights or sun protection. And to provide more of a year-round offering.
There also has been requests for crate pads for rescues to use during transport, these pads will be added comfort for the dogs who already are under stress. Using my creative talents this is a future goal to compliment my product line. The "snuggle sack" (which is offered in my rewards) is also a prototype that I have been working on but so far just for gifts for friends and family !! You could have one of these originals by helping fund my project.
If I had my way there would be a pair of my pajamas on every dog on the planet !! Realistically if I could provide pajamas** for a fraction of the millions of the dogs in shelters or rescues in North America its would be a step in the right direction. **(or provide funds to these groups for items they require for their care)
~Thank you for taking the time to read and also watch my project video ! ~ whether you are a Pit Bull Fan or just a dog lover !! Please be part of this great movement ! Your support will help in my philanthropic journey..and dogs everywhere will benefit
If you don't already know..Kickstarter is all or nothing ! So if the project falls short I get nothing. If the goal is met- its "Win-Win". So the time is now!!! Please share among your family, friends and in your social or professional networks and help us get the word out...and help keep "pibbles" warm ~ "onesie" at a time !!!
Thank you for your time and consideration !

Risks and challenges
With any new adventure or project there is always risks and challenges.
One of my biggest risks would be due to our fluctuating economy. Sourcing quality fabrics outside of Canada at a reasonable cost in a foreign currency can be difficult. What you pay one month may not be the same the next which directly results in the amount left for donation.
Keeping costs low allows for more available proceeds. A product being made in Canada also struggles with challenges with shipping times, both in receiving goods and shipping out finished products. Being honest and upfront with your customers and backers is of utmost importance and keeping them updated with the project progress is also top of the list.
Over this years Christmas season I took orders for my pajamas, filling over 75 orders ( 5 of which were for silent auction donations) in that time I became aware of demands ..I spent 5-6 hours sewing after working a 8 hour day at my day job... and loved it Why? because I LOVE creating pajamas and knowing that some pooch or pibble somewhere will be cozy (and of course cute !! )
