Unlike bombs or underpants, games are better when they're dirty...
Odious Censor - Watch Your Mouth
If you're anything like us, you have a sick sense of humor and a broken moral compass. You love classic party games like Taboo*, but wish they were as twisted as you turned out to be. Your innocence may be lost, but Odious Censor has been found!
The object of Odious Censor is to get your team to guess a specific word or phrase. But there's a catch: you can't use certain "censored" words in your description. You have a minute to get through as many cards as possible, earning a point for each one your team guesses correctly. But use one of the censored words and you not only lose a point, you also get the DREADED COWBELL.
Can you get your team to guess the word Pervert, without using the words Dirty, Gross, Filthy, or Sexual? Or maybe Fake ID without saying Underage, Liquor, Alcohol, or Bouncer. How would you describe a Walk of Shame without mentioning Next Morning, Last Night, Hookup, or Embarrassing?
It might sound easy, but only if you can handle the pressure of being timed and the looming threat of a censoring cowbell.
Odious Censor comes with: 500 cards, 1 one-minute sand timer, 1 cowbell, 1 score pad, 1 pen.

Odious For The People!
Last year we did a Kickstarter for Odious Lists, a dirty take on the classic party game Scattergories*. The campaign for Odious Lists blew through the roof after Neil Patrick Harris backed and tweeted about it. Check out the tweet that put Odious on the map:
We're eternally grateful to all of the backers that helped support the creation of Odious Lists. To show our appreciation, we delivered rewards to backers months ahead of schedule. If you missed out on our last campaign, Odious Lists is now available for purchase on Amazon.
Feedback about Odious Lists has been extremely positive... people really seem to love dirty versions of their favorite party games. So we're gonna keep on making more of them.
One of the rewards offered in the Odious Lists campaign was a beta version of Odious Censor, and over 50 people pledged enough for that reward. Given the economics of prototyping and producing this type of product, it made the most sense to do a small print run of Odious Censor, which we've already done.
So we're already all set up to deliver on our promises from this campaign.... all we need is your support to help cover the costs of production! We know you and your friends will love Odious Censor. We hope you'll be a part of this campaign to help bring Odious Censor to market. Thanks in advance for helping us make this game a reality!
*Taboo and Scattergories are trademarks of Hasbro. Odious is not affiliated with them. They'd be embarrassed to be seen with us.
Risks and challenges
We've really busted our asses to lay the groundwork to make sure we can be successful and deliver on our promises. One of the reward levels for our last Kickstarter campaign was for a beta version of Odious Censor... we had ~50 supporters at that level, so we ended up doing a small production run. That should make it way easier for us to deliver on our promises from this campaign quickly, and we're confident that you'll have your game in hand sometime in March.
Of course, there are a hundred things that could get in the way. But fuck those things. We're better than that.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
