Hunks and cute baby animals go together like a good peanut butter and jelly. Every year calendars pop up featuring handsome men with puppies, kittens, and other adorable fluffy animals. Now imagine if those calendars featured cute mythological animals from around the world. This is that calendar.
The 2019 Hunks & Mythology Calendar features twelve illustrated men and baby mythological creatures from around the world, representing 12 cultures from around the ancient world.
The 2019 Hunks & Mythology Calendar features:
- a different culture, man, and baby animal every month
- saddle-stitched binding
- 5mm hole in each page for easy hanging
- 11 x 8.5 inch pages
- KS-exclusive print of Markos and Nestor by TheDamnThinGuy
Here's a sample of some of the hunks from the calendar!
Every calendar order also gets an exclusive print of Markos and Nestor, drawn by TheDamnThinGuy! Check it out!
Starting at $1,100, all print calendar pledges receive a free Nestor sticker. Printed on weatherproof vinyl, you'll get your very own tri-pup to decorate with!
Every $100 after that unlocks a new sticker option. If you purchase a print calendar, you'll be asked in the survey which sticker you like.
If the pledge total reaches $1,500, I'll unlock sticker sheets, too!

Hello! I'm Micah, a Virginia-based illustrator and cartoonist with a love of mythology, comics, and pin-up art. This Hunks & Myth project combines all three loves into one fun package! I've seen those "hot men and puppies" calendars come up every year and I always thought it would be cool if there was a version with mythological creatures. So I created one!
Mythology inspires my webcomic, the Sparrow, a superhero story where all non-human characters are directly inspired by myth and folklore around the world. You can find more of my work on Twitter, Tumblr, and deviantART!
Risks and challenges
The calendar art is complete, so there will be no delays for artwork. The campaign also ends early enough to allow ample time for printing and shipping. This means even if there are printing delays, I should still have enough time to ship rewards in time for the holidays. I’ve been working with other successful Kickstarter creators on sourcing and shipping solutions, so I’m confident that the worst case scenario has calendars arriving in early January.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
