STRETCH GOAL $55,000
$55,000 - A My Gimpy Life animated short. We had so much fun making the "My Gimpy Christmas" special and would love to create another animated short for you all.
What is My Gimpy Life?
My Gimpy Life is an online comedy series created by and starring Teal Sherer, who is best known as “Venom” from Felicia Day’s The Guild. Loosely based on her real life, the show centers around Sherer’s awkward adventures as a disabled actress trying to navigate Hollywood in a wheelchair.
Season one, which was sponsored by Steven Dengler's Dracogen Inc., premiered on YouTube in the summer of 2012. There are five episodes that each range from six to nine minutes, and our guest stars included: Felicia Day (The Guild, Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog, Supernatural), Gary Anthony Williams (Malcolm in the Middle, Boston Legal, The Boondocks), Patricia Tallman (Babylon 5, Night of the Living Dead), Amy Okuda (The Guild), Marissa Cuevas (Supah Ninjas), and Brent Bradshaw (Enlightened). Season one was written by Gabe Uhr and directed by Sean Becker.
