ABOUT THE GAME
Man vs Meeple Kickstarter Preview
Quartermaster General: The Cold War depicts the struggle between the aspirations of the Soviet Bloc, the West, and the Non-Aligned nationalist independence movements throughout the developing world.
You will play a Bloc of nations: the Soviet Bloc, the Western Bloc, or the Non-Aligned Bloc. Each Bloc is considered an enemy to each other Bloc, even if players decide to cooperate temporarily to preserve the balance of power. Each of the three Blocs may be played by one or two people, depending on the number of players.
On your turn, you’ll play cards to unfold a narrative of the Cold War – as it might have been. You may decide to use military force when espionage fails, but escalating tensions will reduce the penalty your enemies pay to use their WMDs in retaliation!

We're hoping to have a bit of fun producing KS EXCLUSIVE Cold War cards for you, incorporating some of our most memorable iconic events from The Cold War into the game (just to warn you now, we sometimes pop our tongue in our cheek on these things!). They can be added to the game to spice things up, or kept as collectables. This stretch goal unlocks the first of these cards.
Stretch goal 4: GBP £25,000 UNLOCKED!
More new art! Following the style of previous Quartermaster General games, our Air Power cards feature a generic aircraft. This stretch goal unlocks a unique image for each Bloc's Air Power card.

"Poisoned Umbrella on the Bridge / Soviet / Espionage Use in your Begin Turn step. An enemy Bloc of your choice must lose 1 VP for each prepared Espionage it has. The targeted Bloc’s player(s) must make deathly gurgling noises for your choice of a maximum or minimum of 10 seconds."

"Liu Hulan / Non Aligned / Espionage Use in your Begin Turn step. If an enemy has an Army in China, gain +4 VPs. Each enemy with a piece in China must admit to have been bested by a 14 year old girl."

KICKSTARTER EXCLUSIVE victory point markers. We'll give every backer three KS EXCLUSIVE plastic victory point markers which you can use instead of the card tokens included in the game box.

Our components (playing pieces, board, cards and tokens) are all complete and with the manufacturer - although we hope that a few changes might be unlocked as stretch goals!

Risks and challenges
We are a seasoned Kickstarter publisher, with 10 successful campaigns under our belt. Quartermaster General: The Cold War is our 11th Kickstarter campaign.
Unexpected delays may affect any production schedule. In our case, these would most likely be associated with shipping, manufacturing, or customs processes. Should any delays occur, we will endeavour to keep our backers up to date every step of the way.
Please keep in mind that the shipping date shown in our Kickstarter campaign is only an estimate. Also, due to the logistics of international shipping, backers in some regions of the world may receive their rewards sooner than others.
Please note that our game's stretch goals and final design may differ from those shown in our campaign – sometimes we need to make technical changes as we go, improve our designs, or find a better way to do things.
