As some of you may know, I am now living in the land of grunge rock, coffee, rainy days and oh yes...the Space Needle! I've been living, working, breathing music here in Seattle since January. Making a living as a musician is both rewarding and challenging as you can imagine. My income is solely reliant on my mental, physical, emotional healthy and self motivation. How many people can say that they truly love what they do though? I count my lucky stars!
In July I released my second album "Straight Forward" and I have been thrilled with the crowd response. I had the itch though...the itch to keep writing. I have about 12 songs that need work, cutting, editing and re-consideration so it's not quite time for album number three yet. In the meantime, I would love love love to share some of the new songs I have been working on with my friends on the internet as well as supporters that come to my live shows!
This summer I'll be teaching at the Berklee College of Music in a summer program for middle school aspiring musicians and I thought to myself, why not make my time in Bean-Town twice as productive?! I want to get back to one of my favorite studios, The Record Company, with one of my favorite producers Matt McArthur and get three of my most solid new songs recorded! As you can imagine, the costs of the studio, musicians, mixing, mastering and all the other fun little diamonds of recording add up, and I would appreciate a donation of any kind from you! .....even $5 is a blessing!
I've recently had great publishing opportunities and I would like to add these three songs to that catalogue.
I am so excited to take you on the journey of the writing, editing, song-demolition- with- the-producer and of course recording! To save some trees, I am going to be distributing download cards (You get a code that lets you download the music online, so no hard copy exists) to all of my wonderful funders.
As well as budgeting for recording, I have added extra funds for making my very first music video! If we reach our $3500 goal, I will be able to check a really great thing off my dream to-do list!
Thank you for taking the time to reading this long schpiel and for supporting me through these last few incredible years!
