      @creepypumpkinhead. 2 things, 1 I just updated the link so re-download please :)

      2. So everything in this folder should connect to itself. They are all based off the same grid system and pegs now. The height adjusters are there incase you stack a building but have a bridge between them and need to raise up the other structure. All the things marked "half" are half the height of a main tower. So two of those = a full. I'm going to do a video going through all the bits but wanted to just get these out there and have you guys start printing.

Everything I release going forward will fit within this gridded peg system. I hope that helps and please reach out with any other questions!

@Andrew, I'm going thru the files in an attempt to sort and categorize. Can you tell me what the following files connect to, or to what subset them belong to?
Guard rail XX length defensive, and the height adjusters?

@creepyPumpkinHead. Thank you for all the support on this project! I will keep posting updates of all the terrain printed out and new configurations. Stay awesome!

@Andrew, thanks for all the content and hard work. Best value ever! Please let us know if you ever extend the product line or make another kickstarter. I love your designs, nice, large, solid pieces that make a statement on the tabletop. Cheers.

@patrick, Yes, it's printed in translucent red. Kind of dope looking. Glad you dig the roof and the models! The new towers are slightly since they use small pegs to interlock, but I'm providing adapters so they can work together. Thanks for backing!

Is the bottom piece in the instagram photo of the new towers printed in clear red? That looks very cool. So far I've got 2 towers, 2 generators, 1 long bridge, various connectors and a roof done (That roof is amazing, btw). All scaled at 70% for use with Deadzone which uses 3" squares. Will the new towers work with the old ones?

Although it's months later, I would second Steve Beck's request for an overview/guide for what each piece is for. I've backed another Kickstarter for 3D printed terrain and each set had a PDF explaining what files printed what item. I have also purchased a set of files from an online site, which also had a "parts list." I've found these to be super helpful, and while I've printed a bunch of the files you've already sent (generators are one of my favorite!), I'm a bit timid on printing some of the towers and crane because I'm not sure how all the pieces go together. Guidance would be greatly appreciated!

(if you already sent that or attached that somewhere, I apologize I missed it, and would love a reminder =) )

@Andrew - Thanks for the quick response. I almost didn't post anything, because frankly the files we've gotten from you are worth the top level pledge even without the Combat Zone tiles. However, not hearing anything for almost two months is worrisome when the project isn't complete as there have been too many abandoned projects that simply go Radio Silent.

You should consider giving at least monthly status updates until the project is completed, even if it's just an "I'm still alive - busy with work/life/updates/whatever" type of message. It's well worth the effort and helps keep your reputation intact - which is frightfully easy to lose and once lost damned near impossible to restore. :)

@Mark, thanks for reaching out! I'm revamping all of the towers now and the combat zone. A sample of the new towers here: https://www.instagram.com/p/BWNJkUWnws7/… The parts will be simpler and have sliding doors. I am planning on posting an august update. Thanks for reaching out.

I've been going back through the various pledges that I have listed as still incomplete, and was surprised to see this one still on my list. I'm assuming that the only things left are the Combat Zone tiles. This is a significant chunk, since the CZ pledge level doubled the cost of the "all in" pledge.

      @Andrew - status?

    11. Steve Beck on May 11, 2017

@andrew , is there a guide somewhere as to what each printable piece is or is for? Many things are obvious (bridges, towers, etc.) but some things I'm not positive of the use for (door connectors, small stairs support, small bridge joiner, pole corners and pole corner supports).

I don't own a 3d printer and am using a 3rd party company to print for me so I'm printing in batches. I'd hate to do a batch print and find out I don't have the specific piece I need to make X connect to Y or on the flip side, print things that I don't need to make the terrain I'm going for (starting out with a few towers with stairs and bridges).

If there was a guide or a video or something that had a small description of what each piece was for that'd be handy.

Thanks! Love this terrain and I can't wait to use it.

Andrew, how do you print your ladder ? Vertical with supports or laying horizontally with rafts / supports ?

    25. Andrew Askedall 2-time creator on April 13, 2017

@Piotr, the ladder should print in place without supports.

I agree with Piotr, a way to link the walkways and ladders of the tower set is easy and can expand in that direction fast :)

    29. Piotr Adamiak on April 9, 2017

Do you plan to offer additional new modules for the current system in the near future ? I could do with a couple of stairs or ladders to attach to the walkways for example. Also looking forward to the mining stretch goal :)

Printed my first tower floor one without doors, it is simply perfect. I had to reduce the size to 70% because I don't want to print during the night (I am scared of leaving my printer without control :) ) and even at that size it took about 8 hours at 60mm/sec 0.2mm of layer (30% infill). Do you have suggestions to reduce such time? I use S3D, I saw too many carriage movements for a thing that should be like a vase, instead of print the border and after the infill it just does a part then jump to another far and so on...strange optimization :)

    31. Andrew Askedall 2-time creator on April 6, 2017

@Piotr Adamiak Awesome, I'll try and find them :) @The Cepparian, Glad you are digging the models! There is a way to print the doors separate for a second level tower but not for the a first floor one. I really should design those... Keep on printing!

TY Andrew! By now I just printed a couple of crates and they are simply perfect :) . I'd like to print some of the tower pieces but it takes a lot of time @60mm/s 0.2mm of layer (over 10 hours with 30% of infill), so I should scale it to a smaller size, just to find the right one (smaller is ok for normal minis, but not for some bigger ones like the mecha of infinity). By now, great work!! :)

Printing some pieces right now :) . One thing: is there a way or an image of the 3d piece associated with the name of the stl file? I am using S3D and I need to open one at time to see what it is, a picture map of all the stl could help so much :)

    39. Andrew Askedall 2-time creator on April 5, 2017

@Shawn DiJohn, The tower stairs are the widest model by far. I'm currently working on a set where two smaller pieces can be snap/glued together to make the full stairs. That part should be done tomorrowish since it seems to be the part that is getting the most feedback.

@Patrick Odell Thanks for the catch, I've ran a lot of the models through repair software and they should still slice even if you are getting a non manifold error. I'm looking into the bridges to see where I can manually repair the meshes. Thanks!

Was looking at the files this morning and several of the bridge files aren't manifold. Is that the right term? I'm using Slic3r for prusa mk 2. and the models have several holes and missing faces in them. Just the bridges so far. Is that something I'm doing?

@Andrew I just downloaded the files and they are absolutely amazing. I noticed that the tower stairs doesn't actually fit my print bed. I have the maker Select V2 and to make it fit, I need to scale down to .9. This isnt a problem as I might just scale everything down a hair to get things printed faster.

@Andrew, I was re-watching the videos, gearing up for layout ideas for the upcoming Armageddon Shadow War game. I realized the stackable towers don't have an external platform to hold miniatures. I was hoping to be able to build multi-level hive systems where a platform similar to the orbital station could surround the exterior of each tower.

This would allow for really cool looking designs plus add a lot of game play to the bridges. I'm hoping to see this as a post addon, or a v2 upgrade. It could be an extension of the interior floor piece, or a clip on catwalk. It would be even better if the platform came in option size configurations, wide enough for 1 mini, 2 minis, 3 minis wide.

I think the GW Armageddon Shadow War game will be big for skirmish and War Layer terrain seems to be best suited to lead the charge.

You might also want to open a late pledge option, or sell the terrain on Wargamer Vault as soon as possible.
