About this project
Recent studies have shown that an alarming number of people have emailed, tweeted, texted, and even called another person from the confines of the bathroom. Email signatures remain coy about this disgusting fact and merely state some variation of "sent from my wireless device" rather than the cold, hard, tiled truth: "sent from my bathroom."
This stationery and design project aims to bring to light the true state—and location—of things. By pledging at the $10 amount and above, you will receive your very own set of A6 (4.5" x 6.25") 'Sent from My Bathroom' note cards, printed in gold ink on cover stock, and paired with matching envelopes.
For the germaphobe-conscious sender, add an extra $2 per set and request translucent envelopes so your recipient can appreciate your honesty without having to actually, you know, touch it.
You can even write your card with your very own set of bathroom pens and pencils. For the wordier bathroom scribe, there is also the bathroom notebook set. Confess other lowbrow sins on an 18 x 24 print. All backers $5 and above will receive the digital email signatures.
As technology and tools for communication have become more portable and more pervasive in all aspects of everyday life, there are fewer and fewer places from where we don't share information. Such easy access to various modes of communication has blurred the boundaries between where and what we share. Sent from My Bathroom seeks to regain some of that distance by directly addressing what usually remains unsaid: you are totally texting from the bathroom.
Don't forget to wash your hands.
Risks and challenges
The designs have all been finalized, we've received pricing and timing estimates for all of the deliverables, and we'll be using printers we've worked with before and trust. As long as we don't get the cranky lady at the post office, things should run pretty smoothly. The goal amount will reasonably cover the cost of paper, envelopes, fonts, printing, shipping, and Kickstarter/Amazon Payments fees. If there are any hiccups along the way, we'll post updates here.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
