Falling into the sizzling hot category of Young Adult, Too Much to Remember is endearing, with humorous characters, and situations that appeal to anyone of any age who remembers what it's like to be in like, in love, and in deep.
Too Much to Remember is the first book of a series about the Kovak family. The characters are so addictive that after a few chapters you will feel like you know them personally. The music will hook you, and leave you craving the next chapter.
Title song Too Much to Remember was recorded in Woodstock, New York, along with a bonus track, Make Superman Cry, for sequel Too Much to Forget. The remainder of the songs will be recorded using local talent at Venice Media Group.
High school senior Joe Kovak gets a crash course in geometry when he finds himself navigating through three separate triangles.
Joe gets involved with Kristy Brent, despite suspicions that she is still dating Brad Tanner. Her constantly ringing cell phone to the programmed tune of I Will Always Love You, leaves Joe wondering if it's just a matter of time before Kristy steps on his heart...and backs over it with Brad's Mustang.
Julie Mae Wan, the only mutual friend Joe and Kristy have, provides common ground for Joe and Kristy that none of their other friends can. Despite that Julie is dating his best friend, Joe finds himself becoming addicted to Julie's smile.
At home, Joe maneuvers his way through a functionally dysfunctional relationship between his favorite brother Matt, and his not so favorite brother Kevin. All the angles of this particular triangle intersect at the common point of John Kovak: Widower...Police Captain...Dad. Captain Kovak's perfect combination of tough cop, and doting dad make for hilarious banter, along with several unforgettable Kovak moments.
Risks and challenges
The novel is written. The songs are written. We are now in the process of recording the songs at our own expense. The biggest challenge, aside from deciding the best way to embed the songs into the eBook is marketing. We have already started doing that by promoting our music and ourselves on the radio (we have our own show) and other forms of the media. We have acquired a large fan base, and continue to find ways to get exposure. We need to buy ad space in the right targeted areas and the social nets.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
