Demo Project : Connecting Your Delta to the Internet

How to connect your delta to the internet and use JSON data as input.

Imagine if your robot lit up, bobbed, or waved side to side every time you receive a tweet or text message. Our first miniature project will outline how you can pull information from the internet in order to trigger responses to social media outlets, feeds, or inboxes.

Specifically, in this demo we pull JSON (JavaScript Object Notation) data from our own Kickstarter, and program our delta to act adorable and dance every time we get a new backer... because that’s just awesome.

In depth instructions will be available along with demo code once our delta robots start making their way out into the world. For now we hope this helps get your pallet wet. =]

In our next video we'll be showing how to paint with the delta's light. We are working on code that will trace shapes in the air with the robot's end effector to be captured as colorful streaks of neon by use of long exposure photography. Check back soon if this tickles your fancy!
