I am attempting to complete a record that is an angel's breath away from being finished...
"Little World" is the debut solo album that I am putting out after many, many years of writing songs and performing live. It has long been a goal of mine to release a record that stands up to my often debilitating bouts of self-criticism, and thanks to the endless patience of my friend and recording engineer, Ryan Slowey, I think we've come pretty close to doing just that. The title reflects the space that I often find myself in when writing or playing music; my own private sanctuary in the heart and mind.
A lot of talented people donated A LOT of time and talent to this process, and I think that overall sense of community is well reflected. I pushed some buttons and ruffled some feathers in trying to get just what we wanted during some of these sessions; but though good graces, dumb luck, or sheer stubbornness we've crafted a batch of songs that reflect the simplicity of their initial intent and composition while featuring some great backup instrumentation from some of my closest musical friends. I'm proud to call it my own and fortunate beyond measure to have had so many people be a part of it.
All funds raised through this campaign will be used for final mixing and mastering of the songs, design, reproduction, and packaging of the CD, and hopefully leave enough left over to retroactively reimburse the generous people who have been so integral to bringing the whole thing to fruition in the first place.
Thanks so much for taking the time to learn a little more about "Little World", I look forward to sharing it with all of you and appreciate your support more than I can say!
Risks and challenges
The biggest risk in getting this project finished in time would be printing/shipping/packaging errors.....we are planning a late November release, so we are confident it will be finished and ready to put into your hands (and more importantly, your ears) as promised!Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
