A prototype is a preliminary model of something. Projects that offer physical products need to show backers documentation of a working prototype. This gallery features photos, videos, and other visual documentation that will give backers a sense of what’s been accomplished so far and what’s left to do. Though the development process can vary for each project, these are the stages we typically see:
Proof of Concept
Explorations that test ideas and functionality.
Demonstrates the functionality of the final product, but looks different.
Looks like the final product, but is not functional.
Appearance and function match the final product, but is made with different manufacturing methods.
Appearance, function, and manufacturing methods match the final product.
ProTubeVR's activity consists of developing, producing and commercializing peripherals for virtual reality (VR). Our driving force is improving the immersion players feel with our modular systems. With this force feedback integration project, we definitely want to bring gamers into a new level of immersion.
There are a number of good VR headsets on the market out there, but each time we needed to grab a rifle in any VR FPS, we realized we missing something to go deeper, something that delivers a real feeling of being inside the game.
That’s how everything began and started growing in our minds. From this moment we started thinking, developing, designing and working on a new project day and night, at firdt in our bedrooms to imagine the beginnings of the actual ProTubeVR.
After creating the MagTubeVR upgrade, based on a magnetic system making transition moves (reloading, side-arm, grenades etc.) way more natural, we are working on a new way to experience FPS in VR.. The ForceTubeVR.
ForceTubeVR features impact simulation/kick and rumble effects. It uses a proper wireless communication gateway which allows signal transmissions from computer or game console.
ForceTubeVR is already compatible with each of the following HMDs:
Oculus Rift and the future Oculus Quest
ForceTubeVR is likely to get future console HMD compatibility, however that will depend the crowdfunding results.
We are here raising money on Kickstarter to step up on the industrial side and provide the best VR experience ever made.
Kickstarter has proven to be an extraordinary platform for accelerating this kind of project. Making your contribution is the best way to be part of developing the future of gaming.
Today, most peripherals required for unbelievable immersion are very expensive and reserved for the military community or huge arcade installations. Currently they do not have equal quality products as we are ready to propose.
This technology is dedicated to professionalANDprivate uses. We want to maximize immersion, comfort, uninhibited fun, at an accessible price.
Impact simulation: the moving pad directly interact with the user's shoulder with a variable amount of force (up to 60 newtons)
Rumble:ForceTubeVR can play rumble effects at different intensities (low and high frequency)
Battery Lifetime: Lasts over 7 hours on intensive arcade use; more than 10 hours on regular use.
Auto reconnect feature: ForceTubeVR is eyes-free operation friendly. The device can be switched ON/OFF during gameplay and reconnects by itself. So the gamer does not need to restart or do anything, even take off his HMD.
Backward compatibility on any openVR app: Companion app is able to sniff actual rumble signal and transfer them to the ForceTubeVR with a wide range of possible settings.
Full Plug & Play: Once paired with windows, it is not mandatory to use any third part software on natively compatible apps. The game is directly talking to the ForceTubeVR.
Android companion app: For preflight checks or showcases for your friends without the need for a vr setup or computer.
ProTubeVR is not alone in this venture, ForceTubeVR will be natively supported on any platform by the most popular virtual reality licences as you can see below.
We have different reward stages : the first one includes goodies packs for your contribution starting at 20€.
After that we have 2 different stages : the devkits and the final products with 3 different compositions :
If you want only the ForceTubeVR haptic module (for those who already have their ProTubeVR setup)
If you want a ProTubeVR + the ForceTubeVR haptic module
If you want the upgraded ProTubeVR (MagTubeVR) + the ForceTubeVR haptic module + jumbo pack
Important Note : European Backers may be asked to pay VAT at the end of the campaign
Both the ForceTubeVR patent and our core features are already established and completed. The Kickstarter objective is only here to develop this innovation on the industrial side and to integrate even more features.
In the case we reach and exceed our goal, this is what we plan to do :
We are known and respected by important video games associations (ESL, VR League, Oculus)
We have sold 5000+ rifles
We have been working with major FPS developers since 2016
As a company, we are known for providing quality products and great customer service.
We give our very best to satisfy every single customer, it will be the same for every backer.
ProTubeVR is not here to make a marketing promotion campaign, we are here to reach our goal and determined to open a new era of vr gaming .
We are composed of 7 VR enthusiast members. Our passion began with the Oculus DK2 release and the day we discovered the VR FPS. We were like real kids, especially for "competitive" or "realistic" ones as Onward or H3VR.
Here we are in 2019. Rewind to 2016 and Romain, the creator (aka Bourin01) started prototyping the first ProTubeVR. He convinced us that was possible to increase the level of immersion level of this new gaming experience, with a new solution and be pioneers on the hardware VR peripherals market.

Risks and challenges
Since we are a young team and manufacturer; production and shipping is not always smooth sailing and there of course are some obstacles to overcome.
We are going to need a larger workforce during the next months, that's why we are going to have to recruit very promptly.
Because of the one of a kind system (no equivalent on the market today), we had to develop our own tools to be able to finely control all the mobile components of the ForceTubeVR.
Currently, we are also working on the service life and guidance of moving parts that pose major design and manufacturing problems.
The power supply of this device is also a challenge due to its operation. Indeed, our current solution, although energetically efficient, requires large power peaks without which the desired effect cannot be achieved.
Our current problem is to propose a satisfactory solution for these different subjects:
- Getting all approvals to legitimately sell the final product in EU and North America
- Compliance for new air transport legislation
- Sufficient capacity for 7 hours of "intensive" operation
- Battery life of at least 2 years
- High current inrush capacity (100 watt peaks to get the equivalent of 5kg of thrust)
- We want to provide the charging devices at the same time as the product, and this is a problem when using multi-cell lithium batteries
To meet these challenges, we are exploring many technical solutions, from creating our own battery pack to integrating pre-existing batteries. We are moving towards Lithium technology but nothing is yet fixed at this stage of development.
We understand the importance of honest communication. That is why we will keep you informed and will answer all backers questions as fast as we can and give updates as often as possible.
