Over half way to funding goal and 3 days to go! Dwelling in Possibility
This weekend an angel funder gave me a big boost of hope. A complete stranger contributed $5,000 to my kickstarter campaign for my film project. I’m incredibly grateful, encouraged and amazed that someone is willing to back this film with such a significant contribution. And in the last 48 hours more and more people are backing STRAWS. This morning was a milestone as we passed the 50% funded mark. But there's still almost $12,000 to go by this Wednesday July 20th / midnight EST.
I’ve had a sign over my desk since I started making documentary films. It’s a quote from Emily Dickenson: “Dwell in Possibility.” It has at times been the only thing that has kept my hope up. I’m putting all my time and energy back into POSSIBILITY for meeting the funding goal of $24,000.
Since starting the project, I’ve interviewed people from 11 year-old Max Machum who started his own No straw challenge to Jackie Nunez who founded The Last Plastic Straw in 2011 who are truly making an impact and making real change happen… one straw at a time. They give me hope, inspiration and motivation that when completed, STRAWS will be a part of a planet-changing solution because of their stories.
There’s three days left to contribute to the kickstarter campaign that ends July 20th. If the funding goal isn’t met, STRAWS will receive ZERO funding.
I'm believing in possibility and I am very grateful for your help to make this film.
