Hi! We’re Seasaw, the indie-pop duo of Eve Wilczewski and Meg Golz. We met for the first time in 2010, thanks to fate and a small-town restaurant in Freeport, IL. We bonded over our love of CocoRosie, and have been making music ever since. We currently reside in Madison, WI, where we recorded our 2016 album ‘Too Much of a Good Thing.’ We tracked, engineered, edited and funded it all on our own.
For the past two years, we've been touring that album, but have also been writing and expanding our sound even further. We’re now ready to bring you our newest album ‘Big Dogs’ - which will be released on September 7, 2018.
And Now, Big Dogs
To bring ‘Big Dogs’ to life, we decided to record with the help of an engineer, instead of doing it on our own. We worked with Dan O Stoffels (Nashville, TN) for the tracking of this album, Zach Arney (Minneapolis, MN) for the mixing and Huntley Miller (Minneapolis, MN) for the mastering. We had so much fun working with these artists to bring life to this new batch of songs!
We also worked with Scotify Studios for our album artwork photography and other promotional photos.
Harnessing our team dynamic, the creation of this album demanded that we were brutally honest and experimental with each other. This process allowed us to craft these 12 songs into an imaginative departure from anything we’ve previously done.
We Need YOUR Help!
We’ve funded most of this album on our own, but now, we need your help. Your contribution will go directly to:
- Vinyl pressing
- CD printing
- Digital streaming fees
What Do You Get for Helping?
We have backer packages as simple as a download, a guest list spot to our release show or an autographed CD or vinyl. If you’d like something a little bit out of the ordinary, we also have some special pledge rewards too, including a meet and greet listening party, a one-of-a kind artwork or cover song - and even one of our guitars!
But wait! There’s more? You betcha. With every physical album purchased, you’ll also get a Kickstarter-only liner note book, which has behind the scenes photos from our recording sessions and music video shoots, lyrics with our personal explanations, and more.
This is a great way to pre-order the album, too. If you were already planning to buy, this gives us the funds up front to complete the project and you’ll get your copy earlier than everyone else! You’ll also get exclusive backer updates weekly to your email.
Here’s some photos of the packages you can get:
Risks and challenges
This campaign is all or nothing! In order for us to bring ‘Big Dogs’ to you, we need to hit our goal of $5,000 in 30 days, or we get none of the funds pledged. And if you can’t pledge, please SHARE this campaign with someone who might dig what we’re doing.
We can’t thank you enough for supporting us and taking the time to visit this page. If you have any questions about your pledge, please email firstname.lastname@example.org.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
